We went XC skiing here at Pigeon Creek Lodge for part of our honeymoon adventures. It had been 10 years since I last XC skied and my husband had never been before. We had so much fun and the employees at the lodge were very helpful. Josh noticed us struggling outside to get our skis on and he didn't hesitate to run out swiftly and help my husband while saying out loud the "steps" so to speak for getting them on so we would know for future use. He did so in such a way that was informative and not at all condescending or that made us feel embarrassed - which I think is one of the main reasons people don't try new things. All of that to say, Pigeon Creek Lodge is a great place for beginners, as well as veteran skiers, and they are eager to help and make your experience fun. The trails were great. We started close to 5pm and by the end around 6:45 (you can choose your own trails and can go for as long or as little as you'd like) we were sticking to the lit trails. It was fun, energizing, and romantic all in one!! Highly recommend!

A really nice set of trails, well maintained, clearly marked, and fairly long. Many of the trails are through the woods also. Dogs on leashes are allowed. As well as many of the trails allowing mountain biking and/or horseback riding besides just hiking.

Super fun sledding hill and a ton of cross country ski trails that are also very well lit. The lodge has ski rentals and refreshments. In the warmer months the trails are awesome for hiking. I've seen a lot of animals including a fox on one occasion.

Enjoyed a family trip to Pigeon Creek today! The lodge staff were very helpful and patient with our group of novice cross country skiers. Get there early to avoid lines and remember to bring a sled too as there's a huge, but mostly safe, hill next to the lodge. Most of the 'high' difficulty runs are doable as long as you have figured out the basics of going downhill. There is also a set of imprinted tracks to follow on most trails to help keep skis going...

Very nice place to country ski. It's cheap and has easy trails for said skiing. It also has a nice hill for sledding, although it is a bit small for my taste, but for kids, you'll do great. It does have a lodge for food, which is a nice plus to all the activity you'll do there. I WILL complain about the condiment packets. Some of them were so old and ragedy. One of the mustard packs was actually dehydrated, lol. But outside of that it's a very...
