Our first trip to Bishop’s was on Tuesday, 19 October 2021 at around 2:30pm. It was a little more crowded than we thought would have been for a Tuesday, but it is just a little under two weeks away from Halloween so there’s that. We couldn’t believe how big this Pumpkin Patch is, all of the wagons and trucks full of pumpkins are so pretty and beautifully displayed, they are totally great places for pictures with your family and friends! The pumpkins/squash/gords are so beautiful and fun! Bishop’s offers a lot to see and do, just from what I saw they have Zip-Lining, Corn Mazes, Train Ride, Slides, a Petting Zoo, Airplane Ride, Hay Jumper, Tire Obstacle Course, and probably a few other things I’m missing, oh of course the Hay Ride!! Tickets were cheaper to buy if you only wanted to use them during the week vs the weekend, I think 89cents a ticket for weekdays only and maybe 10cents more for weekend and weekday use. Very budget friendly! Bishop’s also has eateries and bakery/confectionary stops as well, one place had a line the entire time we were there they sold pies, the awesome looking cider drinks with the big caramel apple on top and other sweets! The Cider Shop line moves fast and they offer Apple Cider Slushies, Apple Cider Slushy Floats, and plain Apple Cider and Caramel Apples. I tried the Apple Cider Slushy for $5, again not bad pricing :) however we wanted to try more at Wil E Coyotes eatery, but we encountered an extremely unfriendly and rude employee at the counter who had the worst attitude for working customer service. Instead of letting us know they were basically out of everything and that her slushy machine was down she stood there and let us try and order every single item and tell us “nope out of that, uh we’re behind it’ll be 45 minutes, oh no I don’t have that, ugh my machine is down” complete with eye rolling and sighs so we just said thank you and left. The BBQ eatery had a constant line too and the food smelled good, we were looking for corn dogs and couldn’t seem to find where they were selling them maybe next time! The Hay Ride was fun and you get to see how big the actual pumpkin patch is and all of the amazing pumpkins growing out there, you can either take a ride and hop off at the fields to pick your own pumpkin or you can just go along for the ride and stay on after they unload passengers and board new ones waiting at the patch to go back to where all the goodies and stuff are. We went along for the ride since we had to leave the stroller behind, but it was great fun, this Hay Ride is an actual HAY RIDE, there are two small benches towards the back of the trailer for people to sit but the rest is on the floor sitting in Hay just an FYI! :) we closed out our trip by picking out some pumpkins from those great big truck trailers near the entrance and chose 6 small/mediumish pumpkins, we were curious about pricing and we only paid $10! Now I wish I would have gotten a couple big ones too, but I may go back just to snag some they are a lot cheaper than expected, back home in Southern California our Pumpkin Patch was starting to become over commercialized and all about the money so everything became not budget friendly 3 medium/large pumpkins there cost $60 so this was a pleasant surprise at Bishop’s! Overall we had a great time, and we’ll definitely be back. We made good memories for our sons 1st Fall/Halloween, thank you Bishop’s!! The only thing that would make this place better was some friendlier staff working and a...

We visited Bishop's Pumpkin Farm in both 2023 and 2024 and had an absolute blast both times! This place is packed with fun for all ages.
Top tips for a great experience:
Go early! Beat the heat and the crowd—nothing can zap excitement like getting too hot. Plus, it's easier to enjoy all the activities before it gets busy.
Parking: It’s FREE Monday-Thursday, so if you can go on a weekday, that's a win! Friday is $10, and Saturday/Sunday is $20.
Tickets: Once you walk through the main entrance, purchase your tickets. If you're a family of three, 50 tickets should be plenty to fill 4-5 hours of fun. Ticket options as of 2024: 1 ticket for $1.25, 50 for $59.99, or 100 for $109.99. There are Value Day FunTix which are slightly cheaper but come with blackout dates for October weekends. **Not all attractions require tickets!
FREE attractions: There are several free activities, including parks that don’t require tickets: Farmer Bill's Barn, Tree House, Fort Alotafun, Wild West Kid's Town, Honey Houses, Tire Climb, and the Hay Jump. In addition, there’s a tractor ride near the entrance that will take you around part of the farm and out to the pumpkin fields at no cost (pro tip: do this before it gets hot).
Hot weather essentials: Bring plenty of water, an easy-to-carry bag, and if you have a portable hand fan, that’s a win! Trust me, people walking by will be jealous.
Must-do activities: Start your day with the tractor ride, train ride, and sunflower fields before heading to the parks and other attractions. There’s plenty of shade around the farm, which makes the afternoon more comfortable.
Food options: They’ve got you covered if you don’t bring food or eat before you go! You can enjoy BBQ, chicken, pizza, and more right on-site. They have kid meals available as well.
Budget tip: Pack a lunch! You can bring your own food inside or leave an ice chest in your car and grab what you need. But don’t miss out on their yummy apple cider beer and pastries!
Face painting: Get it done mid-day, so you can capture some cute pics later! Plus, if it’s hot, your kids are less likely to smear it off right away.
There’s so much to do here that you probably won’t get to everything in one visit, but that’s just more reason to come back! This is now our annual family tradition.
PS. We are not "locals" to this area, but it is worth the drive! I hope this review helps you plan your trip to this farm with ease. In comparison to other farms, we LOVE the large versatile options for young kids to adults, the trees throughout the property that provide an ample amount of SHADE, and the AFFORDABILITY with free options that won't break the bank to take...
Read moreYes, this place is like the Disneyland of pumpkin farms. Expensive ($20 to park and expensive food), crowded, and extremely long lines. I did have fun with my boyfriend and friend, though (we don't have kids, so I can't comment on the rides or kid activities).
Sadly, the sunflower field (which is the attraction I wanted to see the most) was burnt to a crisp, probably from the recent awful heatwave two weeks ago. Plus, it's the end of the season for most sunflowers, so it was to be expected. If I were going for that, I would go in early September when they first open. I will probably do that next year. It was sad to see all the spent sunflowers, but it is what is is. : (
Bakery was pretty good, but there was a long line. Apple pie was good, but had seeds in it. : ( Pumpkin pie was really good (to be expected from a pumpkin farm). The pumpkin apple muffins were good, but a bit dry. Pumpkin bread was good, but had raisins in it... yuck. I just picked them out. Sticky bun was also good. We had a lot to take home, lol.
If you want apple cider, you do NOT have to wait in the stupidly long line at the Cider Mill. We were already in line 30 minutes until we realized you can just buy the apple cider in the other shops (without lines). A friend went and got some for us and we left the line (which was horribly slow-moving). It goes through a gift shop area, but I'm pretty sure those same items were in other shops without lines.
Can't comment on the normal food. It was just basic corndogs, turkey legs, and other fair-like food. Seemed overpriced for what it was, so we passed.
Gift shops were cute, especially the one at the sunflower area. Lot of flower-themed and butterfly things.
The bathrooms, though... oh boy. They were AWFUL. Lots of port-o-potties that haven't been cleaned in days. They had a regular bathroom (or two, I can't remember), but the lines were terrible for them (mostly the women's... big surprise). So, yeah... bathroom situation... not so great.
We got a couple small pumpkins and left after a couple of hours. I would come back, but maybe during the beginning of the season when the sunflowers still look great and there are less people. It was definitely a madhouse with long lines and tons of people crammed together. They did have lots of shaded areas, which was a huge plus for this hot area.
Recommended and will go back...
