windy day dogs at park. Huey jumps up in the bed (impressive!) but can never get down. see other video of Huey stuck in a tree

The campground at NP Dodge Park is your best option if you need a quick spot to camp for the night. Most campgrounds near Omaha require a reservation 24 hours ahead of time. You’re right on the Missouri River with lots of space to walk around. Tent camping (no electric) is $10 for the night. The park lights were on all night which prevented an “immersive” experience. Facilities were decent with showers and toilets. Florence had a few good options for dinner plus a pharmacy for supplies.

A fun place to take the dog for a walk or let the kids run and play or launch a boat into the Missouri river. Very busy place on the weekends. Also, the campgrounds and soccer fields are permanently closed. I took this photo today of the pond in the park. The pond has dried up due to the lack of rain.

Rented a campsite for 4 nights for our 2 tents. Planes flew loudly overhead every night late into the night and VERY early in the morning. Bathrooms were unkept and dirty, with BM on 2 of 3 toilets in the Women's Restroom closest to our campsite, and in one of the showers, the water pipe was wrapped tightly in strips of cloth... If it's broke, FIX IT!! The Men's Room closest to our campsite was no better. In fact, there were NO SHOWER CURTAINS on either shower compartment!! My younger brother walked to the next closest set of bathrooms only to find that the shower curtains there were CLEAR!!! IN A PUBLIC RESTROOM!!! In addition, the campsite we got was right next to a drainage pipe and half our site was very wet our whole visit. We ended up placing the tents about 50 and 75 feet from the parking strip just to keep them out of the...

Lovely place to visit! Please know this used to be a maintained camp ground and educational area, but that is no longer maintained, only the marina is. Still a beautiful place and if you’re willing to get past a bit of overgrown grass you can find some still very clear and well used trails to the riverside! Many families fish there for food they rely on as well, please be peaceful and don’t bring rowdy kids or animals to their fishing spots. It’s a very peaceful and calm place that...
