Sawmill Park — Attraction in Onancock

Great public park in Accomac, VA, maintained by Accomack County Parks and Recreation. The open space is relatively large, and very clean. Modern playground and modern open-air pavilion, that has numerous picnic tables - outside and under the pavilion. Parking is centrally located and convenient for any activiity at the park. They are constantly improving the park, adding amenties to benefit all residents. The jewel of the park is the lighted adult baseball field in the back corner- the new home of Jr / Sr Baseball at Central Accomack...

This is a great place to take the kids on a day when they could benefit from expelling some energy. Right now, the park is a work in progress - so you can expect a few little things here and there. The grass by the playground is short and coarse and the "nature trail" just takes you around the perimeter of the park. But - like I said - "work in progress." With the amount of TLC already put into this place, it's only going...

My kids were playing so nicely at the park swinging and running around, just being kids and a gentleman on a golf cart demanding my kids to leave. I've never in my life had anyone do this. We've lived here our whole lives and I've been to every park on the shore so my kiddos can experience the fun. I will never come here again as long as I live. I do not recommend this...
