Lake Oahe — Attraction in Onida

Downstream campground needs some attention. The grass is about gone hasn't really been renovated since 2011. Shower houses need some updating. The lack of any marina or amenities without driving clear into town is a real problem. The campgrounds are busy. Lots of people using the area doesn't seem to be any reason for that. Sell big bags of ice at the entrance. 6 dollar bundles of wood that's wet and won't burn is ridiculous. A little unrelated but not selling the family fishing licenses is a little hard on the pocket book. South Dakota has always been way better at upkeep on the parks and facilities and keeping it affordable for families it why its been our destination for the past twenty five years.
