Unbelievably beautiful. I half expected the hot spring to be lukewarm at best. Imagine my shock when I put my foot in and it pulled it back out because it was so hot. I was like holy cow that is way too hot. It's really an amazing place except for the trash, the drive is simply breathtaking the water is see-through and gorgeous . It's quite a shock to your system when you move your foot from the river to the pool itself it's like wow that's just not what I expected at least for me I always figured hot springs was kind of just warm. We arrived on a Monday at about 1:30 p.m., there was a few other cars and an RV but everyone seemed to be in their own area. We encountered another dog who was deaf so his dad said he had to be on a leash or he'd run off into the mountains LOL. We took quite a long walk down the river I found this wonderful place where myself and my blue heeler sat in the sand under the trees and listen to The birds and took in all the beautiful mountains and everything around us it was just so much what I needed today you wouldn't believe it. I think we were the last ones to leave and I really didn't want to go. Next time I'm going to take more time and continue down the road from the hot springs it seems that the road goes through but looks like some Canyons I saw other cars going through it. Like others I wish someone would take care of the bathroom, there's no trash can in there and people are just throwing the toilet paper in a corner and it's disappointing to see that people will just leave trash randomly anywhere. I don't understand why they can't just pick the trash up and put it in a bag and take it with them. But it's not so obvious and so bad that you can't enjoy all the gorgeous peace and quiet and beauty and natural land all free for you to enjoy even better with your well-behaved dog off leash. This was a must needed trip for me today because it's been a couple awful weeks and I honestly didn't expect to see such beauty when I was looking at other trails in Idaho in Oregon. Definitely go and check it out and perhaps someone from whoever is local to the area could monitor it a little bit closely I mean the trash isn't that...
Read moreThis natural right off the highway hot spring is amazing. Love how someone did 3 pools in the late winter which created a perfect temperature in all 3 of them. Public is always nice it seems and very kids friendly. The beautiful Rocky Mountain are gorgeous and there is a cold river running for anyone in need of ice bath. There is a small table which is very helpful that everyone just kind of shares but it sure helps me with my kids when it comes to me feeding them and I have to sit them down somewhere. This place would get 5 start if not for 2 downfalls. One, people smoke there I mean don’t get me wrong I don’t have anything against vapes but cigarettes? I mean come on that’s just rude cuz there is bunch of kids in there and u just don’t do that. U can get out of the pool and take a step back from the public. And another thing is I hate when people let there dogs run around like crazy. I’m ok with pets being there but some ppl would let them run around crazy. one time my son was standing eating his snack when one of the dogs ran in to him so hard it knocked him off his feet and he fell pretty badly and my kid is 15 and not a small boy. It’s just not cool because there are lots of young kids who come here and I have 3 and 1 year olds my self plus it’s kind of nasty when the dogs that pass u by when ur in the water and they will rub against u or shake there fur and get all over u which...
Read moreSnively hot spring is kinda like going to a run down local gym... it ain't the best, but it's what's around here, and it's serviceable. All too often people come and screw around with the divider walls and mess up how the pools mix. You end up with river water at the bottom of the pool and 4000° lava water on the top. I think the water comes out of the spring at 135° or so last time I checked, far too hot to waft into an armpit at full steam. But once you move around a bit, you can normally find a spot to suit your temperature needs fairly decently. There are no formal tubs, this is a natural hot spring with rock partitions built up between pools, with natural gravel river bottom. Prepare yourself for a zoo, often times Snively turns into a splash pool for 37 screaming children and 2 drunk old codgers wanting to tell you their...
