Opelika Sportsplex & Aquatics — Attraction in Opelika

This morning my boyfriend and I headed to Sportsplex to sign up for a family plan. We live together and have a child but we are not married. We asked two different people at two different times if we had to be married to get the family plan and they said no that all when needed is to be living together. When we got there this morning we filled out all of the paper work just to be told that we had to be married by a woman that seemed like we were a bother to her. We were so disappointed to find out that we were not told the truth two different times. Even on the website it does not specify that you have to be married.

We were really looking forward to working on our self’s without having to find someone to watch our little one. I would also like to add that my boyfriend had just gotten off of a 12 hour shift. If we would have known the correct information would wouldn't have had to disturb our child sleep, waste gas, and mess up his sleeping schedule for absolutely no reason at all. All of the employees should know the rules about the memberships so things like this...

Very nice Sportsplex. The exercise facilities are well maintained. There are indoor and outdoor walking paths, weight training area, cardio area, basketball courts, pickleball courts, soccer field, an olympic size pool, and so much more. Opelika did a great job and has a great staff here.

The few times I arrived before there posted hours everything is already open! It is so refreshing to arrive a few minutes early to be welcomed into the facilities that are not only open but ready for people to arrive! 5:00 AM is the posted opening time during the week and this place was ready to go well before that; very impressed with the team here!

My 13 year old daughter was a victim of body shaming while at the SportsPlex. Some piece of trash 18 year old secretly took pictures of my daughter while we were working out together in the weight room. This “adult” then posted a picture of her on social media along with hurtful comments. It was later discovered and shared with my daughter’s class mates. When my wife approached the SportsPlex with the name of the scum, she expected that the SportsPlex would ban this pervert from the gym but instead was told that it was not against anything in the handbook!
