Park operated by the city of Opelika, AL. Quiet, simple campground with clean and warm bathhouse – important for us since our diesel heat wasn’t working properly when we arrived! There was a lot of water pressure for the warm showers we enjoyed. DO NOT – repeat, DO NOT follow Google Map directions entering from the east. This route directs you to turn left off 280 onto Meadow Mills Road, then right onto Lee Road. This route requires a drive of about 1.5 miles on a red dirt road, which would have been impossible to navigate in our 40 ft motorhome if wet. Instead, enter off Marvin Parkway – all those roads are paved! The park itself is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage. Easy drive into Opelika, which has several interesting and tasty places for a drink and meal. Rate: $35/cash or check. No credit...

A well-hidden gem of a campground. Mr. Jeff the campground mgr, is most helpful and friendly. (If U R coming from Columbus, GA. he can help with directions to avoid the dirt county road.) No fancy stuff. Just a city park (but out in the country) with concrete pads (I didn't need to level,) FHU's, and reasonable pricing. Only caution is if U have a long-wheelbase vehicle (my motorhome is 320" wb) there are a few sites, back-in & pull-thru, where there might be an approach steep enough to scrape bottom. Fortunately, my pull-thru, #14, was not such a site, and odd-number back-ins #1 thru #15 also have flat approaches. I...

I really enjoyed this venue...attended a birthday party which was very well attended. The venue was more spacious outside but there was plenty space inside as well. The place was very clean including the bathrooms. There was lots of space for the children in attendance to play and lots of parking. We had a large gathering but it would also be suitable for small gatherings. I also liked the covered picnic-like...

Such a nice place to go if you enjoy walking on wooded trails. It is also known for the Penn Younge house which has a very rich history. There is a nice camp ground, rv park, playground to include swings, basketball courts, horseshoe pit, grills, picnic tables, lodge for group rentals, pool plus so much more. One of the most recent additions is the archery area that is very nice. When I went it was very nice and quiet.
