Torzewski County Park — Attraction in Oregon Township

Went to the park for a birthday and my son was measured at the gate and given a wristband to ride the waterslides....we enter the park and we were having a great time, my son rode both waterslides numerous times and then we went to eat. Came back in the park to enjoy again and as I'm sitting at the end of the blue slide waiting for my son to come down he then runs up to me from the side saying 2 men told him he cant get on the slide....i later found out that they took my son to the gate without my permission and took his wristband off and put a different one on him. Saying he was then 2 inches too short!!! My issue is we were there for 3 houslrs of him riding the slide and no one said anything about his height that whole time, secondly how can you take a 6 yr old out of the gates without addressing their parent and then take his band off!? Very disrespectful and unprofessional! After the same staff memeber was very rude to 2 other kids in the pool area....they need to address children's parents instead of minors regardless of any situation because my situation could have definitely lead to a whole other issue. What if my son would have said they hit him or hurt him in some way, they couldnt deny it because they never addressed me until I walked over to see what the issue was after it had already happened....dont take...

Took our grandsons age 5 and 7 for the first time. Unfortunately the photos do not show the poor condition of the water park. Uneven sidewalk, cracked and worn slide pads at the end of the slides, concrete pool peeling the blue paint which was floating around in the pool. Lapeer county should either close this place or spend some $$ bringing it up to par. Yes it is relatively inexpensive but you get what you pay for. The lifeguard staff seemed attentive just young. The ticket purchasing staff a little challenged when it came to helping the customers. Be sure and ask before buying your entry ( cash or check only) if all the facility is open. While we were there someone pooped in one of the pools and everyone had to get out which is understandable but they were not telling people who were arriving after the fact that only one of the smaller pool areas was now being used. and because of that incident only one of the slides was available for use. Sticklers on the height requirement to our grandson was about a half inch from the 46" mark and could not use either slide. Tears all around. Probably will not be returning...
