High dessert at 3,500ft..you've got dry scrub juniper and sagebrush trails and a small stream that where I came out,off the trail, was right next to a small waterfall! They have lots of dog area but I go just to hike the trails! Nice and always changing sports facility ..Its all about the dogs and kids here....I could go to any of the downtown parks which are beautiful and on the river, but at big sky,a few twists and turns and your solitary....great to just go catch some rays listening to the sounds of a bubbling irrigation waterfall of which I've found 3😎🌤

Well kept park. The bathroom facilities are new and have always been clean every time I have visited. For soccer, the pitch is nice and thick. Could stand to be trimmed a bit more often but for the young ones, keeps the runaway balls to a minimum. Parking can be a bit hectic but usually spots open up if you're patient enough and don't arrive without a little extra time. One of Bend's better kept park facilities.

What a view!!! Almost distracted me from the baseball game I went there to watch! Nice fields. Downside: very little shade available, spectator areas are pretty close together, and the bathroom building is a serious hike away from the fields!

Used to be my favorite park in the neighborhood. For over ten years I would have rated 5/5. They are making changes to suit out of town visitors, and making the dog park less than ideal for long time residents.

The fenced dog area used to have lush grass, now it’s a patch of dirt. We don’t go in the fenced area anymore because it is so unpleasant. They seem to prioritize keeping the sporting fields in tip top shape because they have tons of sporting events in spring and summer which probably bring them in tons of money. But what about the residents of bend who use the park year round?

Myself and tons of other residents in the area used to love wandering through the brush with our dogs off lead. Now they’ve created paths and have made bike paths. Many of them specifically prohibit dogs even on lead (bike paths through a dog park, really?). Can’t you keep the bikes on the BMX side of the park? You’ve taken away two of the things that made this place so great for dog owners.

Because there’s no grass in the dog area and it’s dusty and disgusting, myself and many others use the sports fields to play fetch and run our dogs. Now we get pestered by the park rangers about keeping dogs on lead. If there is no event, if you clean after your dog, if your dog is under your control, leave us alone. There is a code for verbal leash laws in bend.

Park used to be a favorite in Bend, now it is less than ideal and catered to out of town visitors.

Probably not much to be done about the bike paths through the walking trails at this point. But at least put in grass in the fenced dog area. Maybe then people wouldn’t need to utilize the sports fields to...

Great place to let your dogs run in the off-leash area. My dog has never been socialized much but she absolutely loved going to the park and playing with other dogs. All the dogs when we were there were larger breed dogs so it may not be the best place for a smaller dog. All the other dogs were very friendly and there was really no issues.. my child also had a blast playing with our dog and running around in the very large fenced-in enclosure. There is a little bit of a walk to get back into the off-leash area. my child also had a blast playing with our dog and running around in the very large fenced-in enclosure. there is a little bit of a walk to get back into the off leash area but it's not that bad and it's wonderful once you get in there there is water supplied...
