All I can say is “WOW”!! I went with my sister in law, her 3 kids (ages 1.5 -9) and my wife. The kids had a BLAST! Even the youngest was completely entertained the whole self guided tour. The staff was wonderful and so excited for the kiddos to be there! Our absolute favorite part was that all of the owls had a toy ball that they were holding as they slept, it was the cutest thing we’ve seen! On top of that, 3 resident bald eagles is not something you want to miss! I’m personally a raptor enthusiast with falconry experience and I was so impressed by the standard of care for these amazing birds! Their enclosures are more than appropriate sizing, clean and they have enrichment inside their enclosure as well as an area for their handlers to take them for further enrichment. We will be back for sure! * It is an outdoor tour, dress appropriately for the weather & be prepared for your toes to be cold! Parking is a bit limited so I would make sure to plan to potentially walk a bit!

The first day of reopening, and I’ve waited for that for awhile. 6/5 experience. Would definitely come back for visits! Birds are lovely and staff are super kind too. Features one of my fav owls, Archimedes! -------------------- 10/04/21 Photo Updates: Thank you guys for viewing my photos! That means a lot! Besides Archimedes, I also love (and "adopted") Maple for this year. As I heard lately, Maple is growing, and feathers keep change color. These photos were taken around summer time. I also "adopted" Guapo earlier this year. The coolest part of CRC will be the raptors encounter, and these photos were also taken several months ago! Enjoy my photos as always, and credit me if you use any of these photos!

A must-see destination if you're driving through Eugene, OR. This place is clean, and family friendly and also very educational. They have about 40 birds, each with their name, background and history, and an info sheet about that species. Most of these birds came here because they had been injured in some way, or were imprinted on humans, so they are unable to live in the wild. If you come here early in the morning, you might see some training sessions with the birds. Their parking lot is really small. You have to drive up a steep narrow road and at the top, there's like maybe 6 parking spots. Luckily there's a parking lot across the street that's much larger and has wider spots.

You know when you go to a zoo or something and you look into an enclosure and you can’t see an animal? Just a dark, depressing cage? Well, this place is not like that. Granted, it was a weekday, the weather was clear and cool, and there were no crowds. But this place is special. The birds are so healthy, so chill, and well cared for. You learn a lot , too. Not only do the displays have great info about the species, but there are separate signs that tell the story about the individual birds you are watching. And these birds watch you right back. No odd behaviors, no cowering in dark corners . Obviously this rescue and education center is doing many things right.

Awesome sanctuary for Raptors of all kinds , this place is a hidden gem tucked away near a popular hiking trail. The staff here were so friendly and knowledgeable. They all really know there stuff and you can see the love they have for these big birds! Cages were big and extremely well kept all the Raptors seemed to be extremely content with their living arrangements. I love that every cage has not only the info regarding each type of bird but the personal story behind how they came to be at the center. Staff loves for people to ask questions even had one big hawk out to teach the visitors about them. This place is a must see so stop by and said hello!

A great mission and place to visit to experience and learn more about raptors. We’ve visited 60+ institutions with animal ambassadors and raptor centers are among our favorite as they almost always have a dual mission to serve as a rescue/ rehabilitation hospital and education facility for non-releasable birds. Large collection of ambassador birds from every limb of the raptor tree. It was great learning more about our favorite species and learning about some new sub-species as well. There was an unscheduled training exercise that was a great value-add to our quick visit. Staff/volunteer in admissions was great. Nice little gift shop on site.
