Big rig friendly- Great place to rest for a few days with our 40ft 5th wheel. We were able to score a great spot on the water. Not many people and none close by so we were able to run our generator and pull out our solar panels. Camp fire rings and picnic tables in every site. It’s first come first serve. We paid 8$ per day because we have an America the Beautiful pass. Regular price is $16. There is potable water at the fish cleaning station ( which was closed when we were there) we were able to pull up to the side of the building and attach our hose to top off our tanks on our way to our site. There was some activity at the boat launch and the ranger drove around once or twice to check on things. There were vault toilets spotted around the area and garbage cans. Can’t speak to the condition as we didn’t use either while we were there. It was not far off the highway but we heard very little road noise. Paradise for dogs! So many good sniffs. Many people let their dog off lead but all were well behaved and didn’t visit our site. It was a little flooded when we were there so a couple sites were inaccessible. All in all- a fantastic stay. We’ll do it again and maybe do a little fishing or paddleboarding as the weather warms up.

It's pretty bare bones, but at $8 per night, the price is certainly right. Bathrooms were decent and the sites were well spaced apart for privacy. There's not a stick of tree cover so this is a fantastic place for stargazing. I'm not a fisherman, but the water looked extremely low. Might want to check in advance if that's your plan.

Was here in june/July, and the lake was still full. Later, it drys up. People were fishing. This BLM property charges 16. Per night or 8. With America the beautiful pass. It offers 3 water stations and garbage. Some cabanas for shade. Picnic tables throughout. A few vault toilets.

Beautiful spot. Many spaces right on the shoreline. Others are higher ground with a view. Price increased in April 2023 to $16.00 per night ( we paid $8.00 with our senior National Parks pass) Near highway but far enough there was little highway noise. Hard to distinguish exactly where the site boundaries are, but they all seem to be very spacious. We were there on a cool June Saturday night and only a handful of other campers. I was fearful there might be weekend parties but not...
