DO NOT SWIM OR ALLOW YOUR PETS IN THE NORTH END OF THIS LAKE!!! I should have shared this report sooner. There are terrible things going on at the quiet north end of Cullaby lake. In the last few years you may have noticed the birds are gone, the fish are gone, the lake is brown, the water Lillie’s are disappearing. Maybe the last is not a bad thing but how is it being done?If it wasn’t harmful I’m sure everyone would be using whatever poison was used. I finally heard back from the state EPA yesterday and they have passed the buck back to the county code enforcement who has repeatedly told me there is nothing that can be done. I did hire a local land law attorney who did nothing but keep almost all of my 5,000 retainer. So I turn to the public. My photos will tell the story. In April of this year I finally had the water checked and yes, it has 13 MPN parts per 100ml of fecal matter. Report attached. Between the raw sewage being discharged and the huge illegal lighting system that used to run 24/7 but now runs 10:15pm till 9 am, each are problems from different residents at the north end, the once pristine lake that only had algae problems once a year is now plagued with the stuff. Loosing 2 cats who lived and drank from this lake for 15 years before they both died of mouth cancer was hard. Seeing neighbors let friends swim and play in water they know is harmful amazes me. Just watch the creek that flows out. You will at times see brown floating foam and brown slime on the water and just look how brown that water is. Once it was crystal clear. Test results and photos below.

Really nice area, though when friends and I went on a short hike, when we reached the almost end of it, on the other side of the park, we Then saw a warning sign for a bear spotted in the area!?! Why something like that sign wasn't posted all over the park, we had no idea as bears do not have small territories! Great walkabout though, and we did not spot the accused bear or any bear.

Today was a great February day to be on the water for a test drive, before submerging in the river. Thankfully with the help of Ryan and Amy Snook, of Snook's Auto Repair, we made it back to the dock after suffering engine failure. Fun lake to boat & kayak and paddleboard, or go for hikes and have picinics.😊

Loved it and would go back again. Very family friendly. Huge play park area for kids, bathrooms, dock, and massive lake. The lake always seems so peaceful and quiet. Apparently there is also a trail around it. Boating here was so fun and peaceful. Loved getting to lay out and soak in some vit d. Lots of fish...
