Freeway Lakes is a place you must know the history of and it will help you understand its depths and lack of. Small creek fed lakes that were dug up for the highway project many years ago.
These lakes are ok fishing in the summer, call and with the lower water levels you will find fish not as willing to bite. When it is stocked you will get active bites as those fish are hungry and not acclimated you this environment.
