This is a great place to bring the family for the day and have a nice bbq/picnic on the lake. weather you have kayaks/boats/life jackets or just want to enjoy putting your feet in the water this a fun place to come. my son and i have caught fish here and its always a blast. kayaking is really fun, the lake is big enough that you dont have to worry about people crowding you and getting to close. they have picnic table areas under the trees if you need shade and also some in the open that are closer to the water. have public bbqs if you need those and a big swimming area thats roped off so you know not to swim to far. they have been doing repairs on the dam this year and have lowered the lake really far. which is just an incredible thing to see. they have old roads they used when they first filled the lake. old building foundations. its just incredible. there is an old wagon somewhere that i would love to see if the water is low enough. its...

When we pulled in there was a sign at the check-in stating that the area was filled to go find a place and then come back and pay for your day ticket. We had barely parked and my husband was simply helping unload our picnic supplies before going back and getting the ticket. When the park attendant drove by and spent 15 minutes trying to find out why he was parking and unloading and hadn't bothered by a ticket. The other issue was that every garbage can that we saw had bags that people had put their trash in and had to leave outside the garbage cans because they were not checked and changed. I will give the people visiting a lot of credit because they didn't just leave their stuff laying around. They actually put it in bags and neatly set it by the garbage containers. The bathrooms were clean with the little bit of papers and stuff on the floor here and there, but the layout of the bathroom was...

Today I took my son fishing and I went there because Google said it was handicap accessible. That is not true! There was no place that I could safely walk down to the lake or use a wheelchair to access the lake. So I decided to use a chair on the least used boat ramp which I could easily get up and move as needed. I was not blocking the ramp! Well the lake police came along and told me that I could not be there. So I asked them where the handicap accessible fishing area was. They told me that they did not know who told me that there was a handicap accessible area there but I could not fish there so I needed to leave! Apparently they don't have to honor...

$5 day use fee. Boat launch. Quite a few picnic tables. Rocky "beach" area with access to the water. Restroom facilities with changing stalls. Beautiful views and even some paths/trails off from the main area. We were there on a rather stormy day so pretty empty, but I could see it being reay busy on a nice summer day. Good halfway stopping point from PDX to Bend.

Very easy to get in and out of this spot. There was plenty of parking for people with or without boats. Parking was only $5 per vehicle. For those spending the day there are picnic tables, bathrooms and a little swim area. Recommend getting water shoes as the swim area is a bit rocky. Bathrooms do have changing rooms and were pretty clean when we were there.
