* Was not a huge surprise that bugs were swarming me while I walked the black swamp trail. Fortunately, yesterday I purchased Zevo mosquitoes and tick repellent, seemed to work great and deserved the advertising hype, time will tell. * This park has minimal signage compared to the other Metroparks I have visited. Once again, glad I printed map of park before coming. * a baby raccoon just crossed my path. * Happy there are so many unpaved trails, way friendlier to older joints. * Agree with placard about the importance of wetlands.. way to go Supreme Court being policy makers and not law upholders. * Chose this park because it listed having boardwalk trails .. did finally find a very short stretch at the wetland trail. * Great observation deck off wetlands trail. So delightful to sit and soak in the peace. Nice to sit and listen to the birds. Saw an Egret. May need to consider adding one more floor as plants continue to grow. * Window on wildlife was a Great idea. * Park is a long 1way road. Enter off S. Lallendorf rd. * Kudos to your Metroparks, another large and GREAT park. Cannot imagine what staff it must take to keep all these parks in as wonderful and amazing condition as they do. Hope area residents know how fortunate they are to have so many fabulous parks in their backyard!!! * Trying to hit a different park every day while my husband is working at a customer site.

We brought our own volleyball net just so nobody thinks it belongs to the park. We also had three separate cornhole games set up so we could play tournaments. And some of the guys ended up going to another section of the park to play some pickleball. I love this new section of the park. Especially the shelter. It has a kitchen. There's a full size regular refrigerator with a dual sink and a microwave. Plus a semi large counter space where we could have four stacks of pizzas laid out side by side and room behind them for our plates and napkins and other stuff. This shelter at the section of the park at Wynn Road and Seaman Road is the bomb and my family and I will probably end up going there every single time we want to have a gathering at Pearson Park. Pearson Park you guys did a great job on the new section. I also wanted to apologize for writing so much but I had a lot to say about this new section of the park and how much I love it.

Besides it being so hot on Sunday July 7th, my son’s 1st birthday was a success but I was highly annoyed. The shelter we rented had a birds nest up in the arch of the shelter and I didn’t know until the day of the party. We couldn’t use a table because it had bird poop all over it. The baby birds that were in the nest ended up falling out of the nest, luckily they were ok enough to fly over to the wooded area. One Bird did not survive. Next time, please clean your shelters, this was very inconvenient for the amount of people we had for the birthday party. It was also a sanitary issue.

I love this park a lot. It’s kept up really well and it’s always a safe space to be. I don’t feel like i have to watch my back when i walk alone here. I love the playground, even though i’m older now and i can’t play it’s still nice to see a place where kids can go. My friends and i like to come hang out here too and take pictures of the wildlife. It’s a nice place to be, calm, serene and just beautiful still. There’s not a lot of places left that you can say that about but i’m proud to have a park near me that i can.

This is a beautiful park! I'm pretty sure you can reserve certain areas for events (weddings, grad parties, etc). I really like the trails, and there are plenty of PokéStops (for the gamers). One thing I wish was strictly enforced is the feeding of wildlife policy (which is off-limits), but I see parents encouraging their children to feed to geese bread, which actually makes them sick and can cause algae growth in the water. I would recommend an officer present more often to enforce the rules.

We just went to the playground section of Pearson Metropark and loved it!! It had lots of stuff for my four-year-old and two-year-old to play on. My two-year-old is not the most stable walker and she was still able to safely climb all the way up to the top of the play structure. One of my favorite parts was the lower landing under the slides, which has a bunch of unique musical walls. There is also a sheltered picnic area that would be great for entertaining. We will definitely be back!!
