schroder county camp ground is by best state or county park and camp ground and heads up above most the more exspensive resort type snooby camp grounds !! the park it self is gorgeous Rogue river running thru it and very nice camp sites clean several times a day by park host rangers and grounds keepers. Restrooms considering our COVIN19 problem are exceptionally clean to higher standards than the state parks! im speaking of Valley of the Rogue and mostly all in my 8 years in Oregon on the I5 corridors of Oregon State Parks. The Host and all Employs are extremely good at thier jobs well Trained by Sean The County Park ranger. The camp Host Miss Marissa is like a worker bee buzzing around and i must say in 8 years i been living. full time in RV is the most efficient hard working Host of any park i been a guest at. I believe State of Oregon should APPLAUD the entire staff at Shroder during our pandemic Covin19 crises for doing what i as a veteran consider above and beyond call of duty and be held as example to not just county parks but State Parks and rangers alike. Maybe Katie Brown might have this team men and women do training at all state parks particular city county also. Or to effect train staff who train other Parks to thier standards of protecting us the general public and guest at the park! So in conclusion if i could afford to stay permantly at shroder and county parks director let me i might,, but id miss my beachs ocean smells ocean moisture and sea gulls snoopy chases. As my friend Racheal would say I become a coastie now im spoiled, I agree. Thank You Host and Rangers and Park Employee's for such a great park great stay and keeping us safe and in few cases reminding goofy old man to be safe for my benifit as well. I for one am thankfull during my fire evacuation off makinzie river route and Otter Creek north east waldport and the u. s...

We will never be back here again simply based of the "host"- whom could hardly be called hospitable, or even minimally helpful. He was hateful, getting any any information out of him was like pulling teeth, and he gave very unclear answers. When we came back with our rig later this evening, my husband was trying to back in which was difficult because of all the trees I front of this particular spot. I tried to park an unoccupied parking spot by the shed/office where you do reservations. The host was sitting chatting with some buddies told me I couldn't park there, and had to park in a parking lot several yards from where I was.

The kicker here was, it was a one way, and my husband was blocking the road backing our fifth wheel up. So, I was stuck. And, rather than do what every other park host across the United States does in a similar situation and help, he just sat there on his golf cart staring. Basically all the way up my husband's rear to where he couldn't see the guy who, for some reason, kept coming up the back. My husband made several attempts, and finally drove back around through the park so that I was able to park and help him back in. All while Officer Doofy sped off in his golf cart to go hang out with his friends.

I see from reading other reviews, that many other folks have had the same experience with the pathetic excuse for a host. Maybe whomever runs the parks will take notice of the repeated complaints and do something about it. Having someone like that playing headmaster is not how you generate...

We just returned from our annual eight day camping trip. We just adore this little County Park because of the great experience we have with the Rangers and Camp Hosts! The cleanliness of the park and great River access! Ranger Tony and park hosts Samantha and Larry were absolutely amazing! They work so hard to keep this park clean and safe! We return every summer and always enjoy our stay! We look forward to meeting the newest summer rotation of staff and we are never disappointed. This little gem of a park is our favorite. We always have multiple sites reserved. We only use the electric sites but the tent section looked clean and well maintained as well. This year we stayed in the Yurt. We brought our own portable ac to help cool it down with the triple digits. Worked great. There is a ceiling fan. The beds aren’t the greatest to sleep on but we survived. The kids didn’t have any complaints. Next year I’m bringing a foam topper for my own personal comfort. The bathrooms are always kept clean and paper restocked. Yes, the showers are a bit small but they work and have Plenty of hot water! One of our many things to enjoy is our nightly water fights with the jet boats that are returning from their dinner tour. If you’re planning to stay here be sure and bring your water cannons to continue the tradition😄 We LOVE camping at Schroeder Park!!!!!! See you next year 2024

EDIT….i just realized that I never finished my 2023 review from last year🫣 so I’m posting it before I do my...

$60 for to nights in disabled spot for tents it was all rock in the picture of the site it was grass then wen we tried to go to the front for fire wood no now was there 3 times $25=4 peaces of wood we had to just go find some at the river when a park personal did come by they said to tell the others that they did not rent the space they had to leave. Like I'm the one that's working there you have people to tell them I went for a relaxing time with my kids I'm not doing the work for them I all ready had to get fire wood from the river but I'm not going to go tell people I don't know that they have to leave

We were on our way to California and decided to stop by Wild Safari to spend some quality time with the kids. We stayed overnight in our RV at Schroeder RV Park, and it was a fantastic experience! As soon as we arrived, we met Winnie, our host, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. She assisted us with registration and answered all our questions. The experience was amazing, and we would definitely stay here again. You can walk down to the river to enjoy a beautiful sunset or even try your hand at fishing. The nature is clean and stunning!

This is my review for an overnight visit. It would be nice to visit in the day time. (It is in a neighborhood.) There’s no tent camping this time of year, but even if there were you have to make a reservation three days in advance. I didn’t see this on the website, but that doesn’t mean it’s not there, but it probably isn’t, so I’m putting the information here. Idk how old the “new rules” are. We ended up staying in a hotel in town.
