We’ve been camping at Sunnyside over 15 years. It's been the backdrop for countless family memories, peaceful weekends, and unforgettable summer adventures. There’s a reason we keep coming back year after year – and a big part of that is the incredible environment and people who make it so welcoming. The campground itself is maintained, with spacious, well-kept sites that offer a perfect mix of sun and shade. Being right on Foster Lake, there’s no shortage of things to do – from swimming and boating to fishing and relaxing by the water. But what truly made Sunnyside stand out this year, is the amazing camp host, Michelle. She goes above and beyond to make sure every camper feels welcome and taken care of. Her kindness, attentiveness, and pride in the campground are evident in everything she does – from keeping the bathrooms spotless to checking in with campers and answering questions with a smile. Michelle brings a personal touch that turns a great camping trip into an exceptional one. Sunnyside is one of Oregon’s hidden gems – and Michelle is a huge part of what makes...
Read moreThe Pros: The scenery is beautiful. Our RV spot was nice and level. The whole park is beautiful. There is plenty of open space, and the RV spots are pretty spread out. They have a cute kids' playground. The dog park was nice with lots of room for dogs to run.
The Cons: No sewer, so we used the bathhouse. No biggie. But the showers were gross. Very dirty and old. The rangers were nice, but no one seemed to be enforcing any rules. Our neighbors had a birthday party, and there were lots of people and unleashed dogs roaming around. The firewood we purchased there was wet and wouldn't burn, so bring your own. There was a lot of traffic in and out of the dog park parking area late at night, and it seemed a bit sketchy.
Also there was no swimming so we went down near the boat ramp on rt. 20 and Quartzville Rd.
Not a con for us, but there was no cell reception with ATT at the park. Also, there is no camp store or anything, but there are...
Read moreThis campground is huge! Just enough trees for some good shade but definitely want to bring a pop up canopy for additional shade. Some of the lots are small and close together. We stayed in a14 and I posted pics. We had a travel trailer and 2 tents. There was room for more tents. They have ice and wood for sale. There is a boat dock in the campground. A pond for fishing with docks. Flushing toilets and showers but showers are closed due to coronavirus. Fire pits and some have a gravel square to set up on. Picnic tables at all the sites. There is also a playground for the kids. Very kid and family friendly. Dogs everywhere but they must be on a leash. Would have given 5 stars but showers were closed and spaces are close together but this is still a really great campground! Will definitely put this on the summer places to go list!!! Camp hosts...
