Drove from Medford to play disc golf with some friends from Portland. There is a new rule in the park, "no dogs allowed" that I was unaware of previous to my trip. I brought my best friend Zeus with me, he is a three-year-old German Shepherd mix with years of training. Shortly after beginning our game I was a approached by a morbidly obese man riding a golf cart, he was wearing sweat pants and was spilling out of the double XL shirt that he obviously woke up in. He snarled at me between wheezing "you're about to make my day, you know there's no dogs allowed on the golf course" "But dogs are allowed in the park" I replied. He stopped for a moment to think about it and agreed. I told him I was doing everything to keep the dog off of the course, I brought doggy bags to clean up and he was next to me at all times. Morbidly obese Bob then drove away, at this point I thought we had an understanding. Later in the game I was approached once more by morbidly obese Bob but this time he brought back up, a slightly less obese man stepped out of the golf cart wearing a Parks shirt. He told me I was breaking a law and I needed to leave, I then asked him for the Oregon revised statute to the law I was breaking. Unable to give me the statute number he instructed me to leave. Not wanting to cause problems for my friends I complied. Morbidly obese Bob the camp host never got out of his golf cart, It's shocks bottomed out by the sheer mass of this slob. Personally I am appalled at the hatred that radiated from every word falling from his jowls. I will not be going back, not after having to deal with that...
Read moreWell, it was peaceful and relaxing. I was able to just be, to exist, and not have anybody come at me with any negativity. I was able to let the dog run around without worrying about her getting hit by a car or stolen from me, so that was nice. Took a dip in the river, which was refreshing! The new camp hosts were very friendly and even allowed me to use the bathroom to change before they locked the doors. Cause they were in the process of locking them for the night when I was coming up from the river. They could've been jerks and said no to me about using the bathrooms, but they were very polite and actually waited around for me to do what I needed to do. So, thank you,...
Read moreBeautiful park with amenities for a number of different outings and events. The disc golf course is superb. Very challenging and fun. I believe it's a championship course if there is such a thing. My favorite part is the busted up,all but completely demolished concrete bridge that is located, shoot, about 11 holes into the disc golf course that displays some very good and some very bad graffiti art. Night time is a very active time for young vandals to have a blast!! In the back of the park there is a huge area to bar b que or hold events(big events) or birthday parties. Also a pond back there with a lot of room for nice doggies to run. I believe there is river access at this...
