BEWARE sneaker waves on this beach (143)!! The tide was out about 100 feet and then suddenly a HUGE wave came all the way up the beach to the fence/cliff. On the satellite view on the map you can see how dark the sand is to the south of the beach access, and also how much driftwood is around, showing that waves regularly come far up the beach. Please...

Beautiful beach. You can walk for miles and are allowed to camp and drive on the beach. Although I wouldn't recommend trying to drive down the precarious entry path without a 4-wheel drive. Really like coming to this beach. I can let my dog run, and the photo ops are great at sunset. 10/18/25 Been a week or two since my last visit, interesting to see how the beach has changed. Having the 7 Devils Rd closed from 101 is a good thing.
