Round Top Trail Loop for the win on a gorgeous spring day in the Bay! Lots to see along the easy fire trail, though conditions are a bit muddy in the spring. Quiz your friends on "Safe or Poisonous?" with the plants, do a burma shave, geology, or sound map hike, watch for birds and listen for critters in the brush... there's something for everyone here. Total mileage was 1.5 not including a side trip to the labyrinth and seep springs where the newts breed - caution! They are a protected species so do not take anything or hurt them with your feet, dogs, etc. Love this park and it's scenery and picture...

You can take a short loop hike to the labyrinth or take a longer loop going to the old tunnel road staging area. Trail itself doesn’t have too much elevation changes, but the elevation of the starting point is already high, so the view from vista points were nice.
