Dockside Lake Nona — Attraction in Orlando

We had the BEST experience with Lakehouse from beginning to end. We knew from the moment we saw Lakehouse that it would be our wedding venue. We chose this venue for its location, style, and affordability. We especially loved the exposed brick inside Lakehouse and the glass house outside. Catering is taken care of by their restaurant, Canvas. I really appreciated how convenient it was to have our venue and catering be coordinated within the same team. I did all the wedding planning with some help from my mom and I can’t say enough great things about the team at Lakehouse. Justin, Anna, and Karli made the whole process as easy and stress free as possible. Every email was answered promptly and professionally. They are all such a pleasure to work with and each one is so amazing at what they do. One thing we really enjoyed was going for our menu tasting with Anna. It was such a fun experience and we were so excited for our guests to try the amazing food! We received so many compliments from our guests about the venue, the food, and the service. All the servers did a fantastic job! They were very friendly and professional. The only hiccup along the way was due to Mother Nature blessing us with some scattered showers. I received a call from Justin and Karli a few hours before to let me know that we would have to move the ceremony indoors. I completely trusted their vision and was not disappointed. It actually worked out better because it was pretty humid outside and the set up was absolutely beautiful. We were still able to have cocktail hour outside and do our sparkler exit at the end of the night. Justin and Karli were there for the whole event and made sure everything ran smoothly. I am so grateful for the team’s hard work in making our vision come to life on our big day. I highly recommend Lakehouse and Canvas...

Unfortunately I had a horrible experience with dockside. Saying that it’s a laureate park and Lake nona venue, it was horrible on my end.

I got to the venue, no table covers, we had waited a little over 2 hours for someone to come help. the lady that I had all my contracts with and details , wasn’t even there, didn’t even reply to my email afterwards. The speakers and screen weren’t working, we asked for a tech guy he came and did nothing and said he has nothing to do with this. The manager, also no name was a pain in the butt. We had music on, and starting budging into our privacy telling us to lower the volume when we had the venue space until 11 PM. He was rude and disrespectful. Can I say...This place served everything we wanted in our wedding. Staff are first most pleasant and accommodating. Scenary and venue aligned with what we envisioned. Weather was great...no rain for an outside weather...lol...We enjoyed the space available for an outside wedding in front of the beautiful Tom Fruin's Glass House. Then had our guests enjoy cocktail hr by the dockside with pass hors d'oeuvres. Might I say days after our wedding our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was. Afterwards we celebrated our magical evening at the dockside venue and overall such a great time and experience. Thank you to the Canvas team for making this wedding...
