I grew up beside this park. It has a sand ramp boat launch with docks on both sides that accommodates shallow draft vessels no problem. The north side boat dock continues north along the Strickland creek for about a hundred plus yards providing benches , fishing/ crabbing and nature views. About three miles north of the park the Strickland creek flows into the Tomoka River. Great kayaking spot . The park offers bathrooms, playground, water fountain, pavilion and the beautiful water front. Kayaking tip- the land across from the park is an island. Go south from the boat ramp to get on the back side of the island to head back north. Stay left and take all the little channels from there to take a fun start...

Dogs everywhere screaming kids and water was so churned up by boat traffic it was almost black !!! Unbelievable that I read reviews about how peaceful it was and it looked like Wal-Mart parking lot with a playground a dog walk and a BOAT LOT !!!!
