Canada del Oro Riverfront Park is a well maintained park. We visited to watch a children's soccer game.
Parking was a problem. We had elderly, mobility impaired grandparents that had to be dropped off while the driver searched for a parking space. He eventually parked in a neighborhood on the north side of Lambert Road.
Parking spaces becomes available in cycles. When the previous games end, there is a mass exit of vehicles. Unfortunately, coach wants the kids to arrive before those games end.
As a game spectator, it depends on the time of day whether shade is available. Bringing an umbrella is a suggestion. Also, bring your own lawn chairs.

Read moreCanada del oro riverfront park Tucson has lots of nice little parks along its bike trails. This is a safe one for families with lots of amenities. Good parking, and lots of things for families to do. They have two playgrounds one for younger kids and one.for older kids. It has a trail that goes along a wash so you can see some birds and have some good views of the mountains. As always, in Arizona, you have to be aware of your surroundings. I imagine when it gets warmer. I'll be more snakes….. If you stay in the park proper, there's not as much risk for kids wandering around….. The restrooms were clean and there were some nice...
