An enjoyable trail and nature area in transition from a golf course so the main paths are cement and good for biking or strollers. Many places you can run on soft surfaces alongside or near the path. We saw some beautiful finches (see photos) and an impressive Sonoran landscape with spectacular views of the area mountains. It is still being improved so we'll see...

One of the most weirdest but fascinating walking trails. It appears to have been an old golf course, the concrete driveways make a nice smooth surface, where the grass was growing has been let go. Random golf balls to be found here and there. Also, some good quality furniture dumped to the trash area. Interesting.

Great trail for walking, jogging, and biking. Full concrete path that was a prior golf cart path, total of 6.0 miles for the full route. Path has two loops that connect together. Beautiful views and has 3 under passes that help avoid unnecessary road crossings. Wildlife often seen in mornings and early dusk.

Not for nothing this place looks like a bomb went off. What destruction a golf course can have on a natural habitat when it's abandoned. Honestly I'm shocked that Oro Valley even advertises this as a place to go The old golf course parking lot I mean it looks like something out of a horror movie.

Broken curbs weeds growing everywhere, miscellaneous piles of maintenance stuff just dumped in abandoned parking spaces that haven't seen cars for years.

Don't even get me started about the empty lake I mean it literally looks like a post apocalyptic landscape.

Difficult to find where it starts and ends and where accessible parking is without driving into upper rancho vistoso.

Yuck I'll check back...
