Requires a hunting/fishing license or a California land use permit (I've never been ticketed or checked but it is posted as such) A nice mild hike on Tabletop Mountain. Follow the creek from the parking area with the big tree west until you hit Hollow Falls. It should be noted that there are other waterfalls in this area as well. The best time to go is late February through early May for peak wildflower blooms (also very lovely a day or two after a big rain). It's likely to be dry in the summer/fall season and waterlogged in the early winter. Bring waterproof shoes or expect soggy feet if you do go during the rainy season as the ground is very wet and there are many creeks. Weekends will see a lot more people...
Read moreTo reach this pretty little water fall you must hike across North Table Top Mountain. Spacious parking area, with porta-potties at the trail head and then fields and hills covered with pretty Spring wild flowers in April.
A small Creek flows along beside the trail to make this a lovely walk to the water fall.
Terrain is moderately bumpy, but not difficult, mild ups and downs until you reach the top of the fall. It's a bit steeper and a little more challenging on the last descent to the base of the fall.
