*Requires a hunting/fishing license or a California land use permit* (I've never been ticketed or checked but it is posted as such) A nice mild hike on Tabletop Mountain. Follow the creek from the parking area with the big tree west until you hit Hollow Falls. It should be noted that there are other waterfalls in this area as well. The best time to go is late February through early May for peak wildflower blooms (also very lovely a day or two after a big rain). It's likely to be dry in the summer/fall season and waterlogged in the early winter. Bring waterproof shoes or expect soggy feet if you do go during the rainy season as the ground is very wet and there are many creeks. Weekends will see a lot more people than weekdays.

Absolutely Gorgeous! We visited in late april and arrived about 3:00pm. You park in the gravel dusty parking area and walk through the gate to an open field covered in wildflowers! The has several choices for directions to head. It doesn’t matter which way you go, you will not be disappointed! The hike was fairly easy and breathtaking at every turn! When we arrived at the falls a short time later it was truly amazing! We spend the last hour and a half there just listening to the sound of the waterfall and soaking up the sun! What a great day trip!

TABLE MOUNTAIN IS ALWAYS NICE TO HIKE BEFORE IT GETS TOO HOT. MAKE SURE AND GO IN THE SPRING TO SEE THE BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS BLOOMING AND ALL THE GREEN GRASS ROLLING HILLS. HIKE TO ONE OF THE FALLS BUT DONT FORGET TO BRING FOOD AND WATER. I BEEN FLYING KITES HERE SINCE ABOUT 1972. IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY YOU CAN SEE ONE OF THE MANY ELUSIVE SALAMANDERS LIKE I ADDED IN THE PICS.

To reach this pretty little water fall you must hike across North Table Top Mountain. Spacious parking area, with porta-potties at the trail head and then fields and hills covered with pretty Spring wild flowers in April.

A small Creek flows along beside the trail to make this a lovely walk to the water fall.

Terrain is moderately bumpy, but not difficult, mild ups and downs until you reach the top of the fall. It's a bit steeper and a little more challenging on the last descent to the base of the fall.

Great spot to have a picnic or just rest beside the pool and watch the fall...
