Loafer Creek campground itself was nice and clean but the campers near us were TERRIBLE!!! A bunch of young people were drinking and carrying on past midnight. We are a family with 2 small children. The neighbors were yelling and running all over the place. What scared me the most was aroubd 1130 pm they started their truck up and a bunch of people jumped in and i could hear a man say "they are driving to the lake and putting the boat in the water"!!! They were drunk and trying to drive off! Luckily they changed their minds. There was no campground host to monitor the campground nor any security driving through at night. What can I say? I saw this beautiful treasure as I was making my way down to my sister’s place. I don’t think I had ever really noticed it before so I pulled off the highway. I was surprised that the pay station was right there so, I thought, I’ll just ask if I can get a couple photos.
