A big wild life area with graveled roads and ponds, and river access. It's great for fishing, canoeing, hiking, wildlife viewing, driving through and just hanging out for the day in order to get away from crowds. There are dear, bobcat, turkey and a great variety of birds. The sunsets are beautiful and there is a good variety of vegetation and rocks. The best part of this area are the little ponds, many if which are hidden away from view off of the main gravel roads that go through from one end to the other, so take the little dirt roads and explore. Be careful on the gravel some of the best drivers even in there high four wheel trucks get stuck. So avoid temptation and take the the long way around or walk down to check out the drives before you endulge your curiosity instead of plunging over the little boulders and...

This is a beautiful place to bring family, friends for bbq, etc... If you want alone quiet time go during the week like I do, it's amazing. I bought a jet ski and now I have this woderful place where (during the weekdays) I pack my ski go to one of the lil islands set my portable big umbrella as a wall, or curtain and sun bath in the nude. Nobody bothers me, heck nobodies are really there! A few boats and people but that's it. No bikini lines for this girl, though be aware of passing aircraft as I gave a helicopter crew a show of my naked back side, lol! But otherwise nobody around. This girl loves her jet ski such freedom, I'm tickled pink with joy!...

The dock at the boat launch needs to be longer. Or mor than one dock or idk something. Bc wen leaving everyone was going at once & there was a line. Plus u got these idiots who bring there boat out, launch it jus to basically fish rite off the dock. Like really, u needed to launch ur damn boat for that? U got all these ppl tryna leave needing the dock space & ur gona block it so u can fish. Yeah so there needs to be mor dock lol.

And maybe s'more picnic tables. U kno, come to think of it they'd do better to do a little landscaping & clear out sum grass/weeds & make the beach area bigger cuz it gets croweded & uncomfortable out there...

I didn't know what to expect and, having been through, I'm still not sure what I was supposed to get out of it, aside from a very dusty Jeep 😋. I did see a bunny, though! Very cute! And there was river access, in a way. I mean, you *could* jump into the Feather there (please don't do this) but there's no dock or boat ramp or anything from the gravel road there. (There is one elsewhere) I picked the number of stars more or less at random... I still kind of feel like I missed something.

It's a beautiful place to cast off your boat and just cruise along the lake. The park is well maintained and clean. The water is crystal clear and cool. The people we met there were friendly and accommodating by allowing us to launch and load the boat without hassle. Just got my feet wet today; driving the boat and enjoying the day on the lake with dear friends. It was a good day.
