On this hike you will see 4-5 stages of waterfall, along with a few remnants of the bygone era; when Houghton was a mining town. This hike is not much demanding - atleast not during the summer and fall seasons and as long as you stay on the main trail. You may take children along with you on this trail. Although the views are not that stunning, it does offer a good escapade in nature.

The falls are very beautiful and worth the hike. The terrain can be rough, so wear good shoes. The trail is not marked well so watch for a large, open road-like path that resembles a creek bed. If a hiking pole helps you, this would be a good place to bring one. It is a lovely spot!

Short hike with a spectacular payout. Trail is not marked, just leave the dirt road on the either side of the bridge. You cross the river above the falls to do a nice loop. Beautiful waterfalls (saw multiple). Very easily accessible from the road. Saw some pretty wildflowers here.

Difficult to find this trail. When we started asking around, others were in the same boat - they were looking for the falls themselves! Finally found a small sign, indicating that the trail is closed. Sign needs to be larger, and information should be updated on the internet to indicate the trail is closed...so people don't waste time...

Easy hike @ slow/medium pace. Wouldn't recommend taking children that aren't well behaved as some paths have little room to edge of cliff/drop off. Better signage on choice of path choices for going up or coming down from Upper Falls. No parking lot. Park on side of road. Road is steep and dirt....
