As with most other things that are abandoned there is quite a bit of graffiti. I've seen the big scoop dredges used up in Alaska so it was cool to see the suction dredge variant. Though you can climb up from the nozzle and get on board it's rather slick at points and make sure your footing is secure. And while I don't like graffiti, I have to be in a little awe in the locations that some of the sprayers got to. This is a short and easy walk from Highway 26 so stop on by and check it out real quick.

I have seen the morphing of of this historic vessels attitude by listing and sinking for over 50 years. It has been admired, photographed, climbed on for years...but now a much more dangerous event. I feel sad to see the the "graffiti" (recently sprayed on her) that is of disturbing content. Please respect all and only post your personal comments on platforms that might welcome them. The attached image is a side scan image of under the dredge.

Very interesting piece of history for the Quincy Mining Co. Pictures posted by me from on top/inside are all from before the current signage about historical landmark were present, I do not condone climbing on this. However, from the experiences that I have from the inside, it's quite cool to imagine how it used to look, and some of the graffiti is impressive.
