Avoid this place at all costs. For the electric sites, all the sites run off one connection. IE: ther isn't enough electricity to power more than 1-2 RVs really.

Trash everywhere. The toilets smell horrible. The showers aren't free. They take quarters or tokens. A single quarter can get you between 2-5 minutes. And it is NEVER the same. A token is 50¢ and lasts 5-7 minutes. And also there is no way to tell how much time you will get.

I tested it on one shower one day. It varied every time. Tokens or quarters, it didn't matter. Tried on another shower the next day and another the next. Same thing.

The "shop" is a huge ripoff. 4C cell batteries, a 4 pack of AAs, two big bags of ice and little light ( like one you could get from Walmart for $5-10). $80!!! The light didn't even work. So I went back to the shop to tell them. Found out the lights were supposed to come with batteries to begin with, and then that over half of the lights that they were selling didn't have batteries and they also didn't work either.

Nobody answers the phone day or night.

And the worse part.... Most people there don't follow the rules. I am writing this at 12:40am, there are 3 sites around me that have been being loud all night. Two are talking/laughing really loud and the other is playing a banjo and singing loud. These people aren't right next to my site either. They are at least 2-3 sites away. Asked them to quiet down since quiet time is at 11pm. All three groups got super confrontational. Ended up calling the security desk TWICE, answering machine both times and nobody came.

So yes avoid this place like the plague.

Stay at one of the state parks if you can,...

This is a hard post to write. We have been coming here for 20 years with a group of 20+ . This year like every year we have a group of sites all together. While setting up a park employee made us move two units a few feet because "you are not on your site and your violating fire code" This employee wstched us set up and didnt say a thing tIll we were done. So we repacked everything and complied. One member of our group has some physical limitations. He was told he had one tire on my site. ONE TIRE. I asked the employee where he would like us to put the unit He said on this side of the posts. So we packed up.his stuff and move him 20 feet father well behind the line. We went to dinner. Upon returning the park employee wanted our friend to move it back where it was. Our friend ask for a supervisor and when he arrived the employee lied stating he never told Him to move it in the first place. THE SUPERVISOR said he was set up in right place the first time. I spoke with the supervisor who decent but at that time the damage had been done and our friend had left. Asking a disabled person to set up tear down, set up tear down again is totally unreasonable over matter of a few feet. We have spent alot of money and time camping here. Time to find a new place. This not the first time lot lines habe been...

Always a good place to camp. Very busy during the holidays so if you enjoy silence while camping this is not the place for you. Great place to kayak and swim.

Update 7/7/2025: First time RV camping. I always tent camped before. Still love the campground. This weekend was not a great experience as I was unprepared. I needed 90' of electrical so two additional 30' cords to reach my outlet. I needed 80' of hose in the opposite direction and a Y splitter to reach the water. They specified in the email that I would need a length of hose and cord, didn't think it would be in opposite directions, and I didn't think it would be more than 60'. Pot smoke, loud neighbors all around until well past 11 dropping F bombs all night. Entertaining, and eventually tiresome. The showers on this side were not temperature controlled. The first two nights it was unbearably hot, the next morning it was about 50 degrees, ha. Since it is coin operated you don't just give up and move on to the next bathhouse.

The staff is always very nice. I think awareness of what you are getting into is the important part. I know now not to choose the group of sites that I did in the 300 area. I would chose a pull through site closer to the tent area, or near the...

Great campground but the campers ruin it. Stayed here for a couple of weeks with my wife. Park was clean. Restrooms and showers were clean. Was very peaceful. That was until more people came in. Loud radios at night, quiet time starts at 11 but who wants to listen to someone’s music while trying to relax around your campfire at 9:30? Bathrooms got trashed and people cutting through your campsites. Watched several campers draining their waste tanks on the ground at their site. People leave trash on the sites and don’t pick trash up when they leave. Didn’t see anyone from the park ‘patrolling’ or asking people to turn down their music. Store closed at random hours and the people who work the gate, when their is even someone there, we’re very rude. This place has a special meaning to me and my family but it’s the rude disrespectful people who ruin it for others.

Large campground for rv's, and tents. The also have yurts and cabins to rent. The lots are spacious our lot was mostly dirt with a small patch of grass. We just started a campfire anywhere because there wasn't a marked area for a camp fire. There wasn't a rim, rocks or a dug pit for the camp fire. It looked like people were just making a campfire wherever they wanted, because there were piles of ashes all over which was messy. The kids and dogs made a mess with the random ash piles. They have a nice little store and they sell most things you might need camping. The store has Hudsonville ice cream, the also sell firewood. They have activities on some days. They also rent pontoon, jet skis, bikes and other things. Many sites have a view of the water. Paved roads are nice, beach was small but nice.
