Menominee Park Zoo — Attraction in Oshkosh

My family went here for the first time today, as we are from out of town, the park was a nice area but we will definitely not be returning to the zoo. Wasn’t much to see and what little animals that were there didn’t seem the happiest but even beyond that, my son wanted to check out the gift shop upon leaving and we were going to get a couple of items, both of which should have came to $35 total but the lady as she swiped my card told me $40 so I told her it should be $35, one item was marked at $20 and the other $15, so she had to call the manager and supposedly he said that he would NOT do the $20 price that the item was * marked at* and that it would be $25, and I said no it should be $20 as the price tag suggests and if it won’t be honored, I want my money back… the lady then gave me $35 back when I paid $40!!! So again, I corrected her and then I FINALLY got my full money back. First and only impression of you guys leaves me to believe you are thieves!! How sad!!

The Menominee zoo is really fun places to go with your family or friends to have fun cuz the park is right next to it but one thing is that they're not really good at taking care of their animals which they're always hungry and no matter what they even though it says don't feed the animals some people bring food for them because they know that they are fed their habitats are sometimes too small because they get like these tiny little cages I can really get them anxious and just not good it's not good to vegetarian / vegan standards which is a very sad thing because you're going to go to the zoo you want it to look clean nice with big cages with them to have food as much as they want but know they're small cages with not much food and his dad isn't really taking care of the animals that well and like stuff that has happened in the past were like the cages like are easy to get through so yeah but it is a good zoo it's a good family Zoo the local zoo that...

My family and I came here on the first day of the 2024 season, and it was pretty fun.

For starters, admission and parking are both free! Parking is a bit interesting as of writing this as the main road between the zoo and playground is closed, so it is a bit cramped.

The animals seem to be relatively well cared for, which is nice considering the reputation that zoos and aquariums get for their caretaking. There were no monkeys yet, and the new exhibit isn't open yet, but it looks to be nice.

Souvenirs are relatively fair priced. Not out of the ordinary for a local zoo, but the profits do go towards enhancing the zoo.

It's not something I'd come from super far away for, but it's a clean, free zoo that's nice for the family if you're within 30...
