It's a very pretty park but, it was much prettier when Phillip Wulff took care of it. How many people knew that Phillip Wulff was the very first Winnebago County Parks superintendent? I'm sure many of you do not know that, cuz nobody will ever put it down on record that he was the first superintendent for the Winnebago county Parks. The job he surely loved and he took care of the parks and kept them well groomed. They have let the swimming area go, out at the county park, they have turned all the grass that used to be kept well groomed, into wildland spaces. I'm sure things change and grow and things are not the same or do they ever stay the same. I'm sure. But I just like you to know that Phillip Wulff was the first 🥇 Winnebago County Parks superintendent for Winnebago County Park systems. He had 13 parks at the time to take care of. He also served in US Navy for 32 years, before he became the park superintendent, They made him step down and be Foreman of the park, because I think his training in the Navy was too hard on the county workers. Even though he was a foreman he still had to answer lots of questions that the new superintendent had because he did not have as much experience as my dad did. I can't imagine Phillip Wulff being unkind to any of his employees, because he was a very great dad!!!
The Winnebago County community Park is awesome and any visitors should enjoy their visit there. They have a place for your dog to run if you want to bring your dog out to the park. They have places to have picnics. They have also a place where you can exercise outside they have like really great machinery that you can use and enjoy the sunshine while you work out.
Any visitors or citizens of Winnebago County should enjoy this park immensely.
I think all the Winnebago County parks are pretty awesome.

Read moreWe biked quite a bit in Oshkosh and north to Appleton yesterday. We had no idea that they have such gorgeous Parks here, with beautiful paved trails. You can park in the lot down by Riverside Park and go up along the lake. Cross over to Doty Island. Then there's the Trestle Trail Bridge. Must be one of a kind. We highly recommend biking in this area. You have Parks. You have water. You have beautiful paved trails, and railroad trails that go through farmland and Backwoods. You have Mansion districts. You have lots of coffee shops, restaurants, and other similar...
Read moreVery large park. We saw a graduation party at a pavilion, rugby tournament, and a soccer tournament on our drive through the park. We also saw many walkers. The park is so large that you can be at one of these things and not even know anything is happening anywhere else in the park.
The soccer fields are in great shape and well maintained. The pavilion by the fields is very nice. There is adequate parking. It is a great park for a...
