Overpriced and under equipped. This is the worst campground at Perry lake in my opinion and double yes that's 2X the price and for that double price you get a spot nowhere close to water a half mile to nearest restroom and that was an outhouse that smells so bad I couldn't even get close to it so go another half mile and you get to the shower house restroom which isn't terrible but still nowhere near as good as showers at Slough Creek campground. No privacy no shower curtain no where to get dressed just right out in front of anyone else in there. Also hope you don't mind giving out your social security number just to rent one oh and extra $5 for every car that you have then get harassed by constant park rangers and cops looking for any reason to give a ticket out and more. I will definitely stick with Corps campgrounds from now on NEVER a state park. The only thing they have going here is that all the other campgrounds electrical sites are taken this place has open ones as you can imagine why twice the price for half a...

Rented a cabin and the rude lady at the office tried to deny my service animal entry. The Americans with disabilities act would disagree with her and she may need to get a refresher training. The cabin was pretty dirty and was in need of repair from prolonged neglect of maintenance. There is mold in every room and dust caked on everything so it is clear that the state park staff does not actually check into state of the cabins. See pictures of cabin when we entered. Bathroom vent is so clogged with dust that it wouldn't actually vent the air. All the ducts had debris from previous renters Ceiling fans covered in dust Mold and debris between fridge and dead bugs on top Bathroom has water damage to the cabinets from the shower and mold everywhere in the bathroom Broken paneling on the wall from the ladder to the loft Mold on the ceiling of the bed room Dust caked on the light fixtures. Hole in the flooring from the legs...

The park itself is clean, pretty, and the campsites are pretty nice. Pathetic that Kansas charges campers a daily access fee when already paying the camping fee. Matching Wisconsin on that fee. PATHETIC to have ONE VERY POOR showerhouse for the entire campground!!! Would hate to have to wait for a stall if tenting or in a fold down. There are only two for the guys! The state pen probably has better showers! Welcome to old school locker room shared buddy showers with a single ball valve control for one temperature water..... What are they doing with the daily access fees? Sure aren't modernizing the showerhouses. Hike the trails..... Be prepared to whack spider webs! Also very low water pressure at the campsite with water and electric. The lake looks great and very clear. Didn't think a state park could be worse than Wisconsin or...

Horrible Bathrooms! -The park/campground areas are really nice. The lake is really nice, but the bathrooms are like those in a prison! Or I am guessing. Cement walls, NO DOORS OR SHOWER CURTAINS. Many are shared room and outside dressing area. One shower house/bathrooms for the whole campground. I thought Ohio parks were bad. I ended up buying a shower curtain and curtain rod. That worked good. Pebble Beach area. The main thing they have going for them is the lake and spacious camp sites. Good place if you are self contained, but there is only on dump station. We left on a Wednesday and there wasn't a wait, but I can imagine if it was on the weekend-long wait.

Stayed one night and it was alright but could be better. The land seems well maintained and camping loops are nice, although they are somewhat small camp spots. We arrived after hours and left early so didn't meet any staff but heard what I'm assuming was staff driving through the loops in the evening and again in the morning. The lake views are great. There were lots of geese along one portion of the lake so I imagine that could be a problem for some. The star off is because the toilets were filthy and bug infested. Bring your own T.P. and wet wipes.
