Incredibly efficient, beautiful, and well maintained! As an added bonus, the staff that work here are some of the kindest people on the planet. Here’s the whole story: My partner and I traveled from out of town to snowboard here a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, when we went to leave, the car engine would not turn over. We tried jumping it, with the help of a few snowboarders who noticed us struggling, (shout out to y’all! Thank you again for trying!) with no luck. It was dead in the parking lot. We were able to book a hotel 5 miles away from Bittersweet, but we had no way to get there (no Ubers, Lyfts, or taxis, we tried everything). Completely out of options, we flagged down some staff and explained the situation. They were extremely kind and understanding, both offering to give us a ride to the hotel after they closed up. Cody, the manager, ended up driving us over to the hotel. Without the kindness of Cody and his team, we would have been in a really bad situation. We ended up meeting several of the Bittersweet staff during the closing process, and each one of them offered to help us. Shelby, one of the staff members, literally offered to drive us all the way home (2 hours away) the next day. We are forever grateful to Cody and everyone at Bittersweet who listened to our story and genuinely offered us support and help. Our situation was becoming dire, but Cody and his team completely saved us and put us at ease. I wholeheartedly recommend this resort! It is beautiful and the team is unmatched! You won’t find better people! Thank...
Read moreI paid for a crystal mountain pass and Indy pass. Both together were cheaper than bittersweets season pass.
Swiss Valley was open longer than you guys. They actually had a terrain park.
I have been coming here for over a decade. They seem to have forgotten what a family run business actually is.
The prices are outrageous for a "hill". $70 for a Sunday ticket lol.
I have never seen a ski resort get so much hate so much that they had to turn off commenting on their post via social media.
The season passes are $800. Way more than Nubs, Boyne or even Crystal. $419 for a crystal season pass you get resort perks like discount on everything on site from the ski shop, lodging, and food.. food that's actually good.
They got rid of the original discount passes for students, and only offer multi resort season passes which most will never use..
I just also saw that a lift chair has fallen off of their new lift... Freak accident lol. Yea sure. Colorado has higher winds and this doesn't happen..
Wisconsin Resorts Inc. has ruined this once amazing ski hill.
I came here over 30 times last season and don't plan on coming back.
I opted to travel to Wisconsin, Minnesota, and the rest of Michigan to have a way better experience snowboarding.
Next year small run resorts (crystal, nubs, Snowriver, Big Powderhorn) and Indy pass have...
Read moreBITTERSWEET IS DEFINITELY BITTER!! I had an awful experience here and will probably not go back. Expensive for sub-par experience. Everything is old from lifts to decor and setting, cheap hotel feel. Lifts didn't start running until 2-3 hours after opening. The operator of the conveyor belt (on Dec 25) was so rude. He needs to get a different career, one where he doesn't have to talk to people or be bothered. Christmas Grinch vibes...rude and nasty. He didn't clear off the snow very well and I put my foot down on what I thought was snow but it was where the conveyor belt and snow met. It stopped the belt and he made me come over to the belt from where I was strapping in my board and shamed me in front of everyone. He said, "Look at this! This is where you stepped and it shut off the machine. Now you're holding everybody up and they can't ski/snowboard. You're holding everybody up!" Ok.... Whatever. He could've restarted it but he shoveled the snow away dramatically and then restarted it. He probably should've cleared the path right the first time! Then one of his coworkers came by and he loudly complained about how I stopped the belt. Ok! It's not that big of a deal! He continued to stare me down and make comments everytime I went on the belt making me feel so...
