Otsego Prairie Park & Splash Pad — Attraction in Otsego

This park and splash pad needs an overhaul. I understand the Otsego Parks and Recreation Master plan includes a renovation of this park. It is needed. Playgrounds have less than average playground quality - commercial playgrounds are ‘Little Tykes’ and ‘Dynamo’. The splash pad uses well water that is rusty and cold and it’s starting to show its age. Some of the skate boarders have told me the skate park is less than average. The transition between the metal ramps and bituminous surfacing is rough. If I were to only rate the dog park or pickleball courts, they are awesome. Soccer fields parking is dusty and needs...

They had prairie days.. Bingo started at 4:00 p.m. and live music started at 6:30 p.m. it was a great family friendly event and then fireworks at 9:00 p.m..

They had many food trucks available from lobster to pull pork to hot dogs to marguerite margaritas and beer ice cream freshly made snow cones cheese curds. Big tent the band was underneath so in case it rained they had discovered

The park was wonderful except with covid19 going on, having kids soccer practice and every parent crammed full on the fields. I was utterly shocked to observe this! This should not be allowed during these times. No masks and especially not 6 feet apart. This would raise red flags to me all over. Atleast I stayed on the paths and walked...
