We went for a field trip for my six year old niece, the place is cool but several staff members were very off putting. When we first got there they put about 60 kids in some bleachers to explain to them how things would go, and there was a lady also trying to read them a story. The kids cared little to none about the story and didn’t want to sit still or listen anymore. The lady trying to read just kept pausing, looking at the kids & saying she wasn’t gonna read it if the kids weren’t quiet… it really just didn’t seem like a good time or place for story time. There was another lady who was extremely rude at the corn pit, we accidentally got ahead of ourselves and told my niece to come over to the corn pit. We thought the corn pit was where we were supposed to be, our group wasn’t supposed to have rotated yet, so a lady came over and approached the children saying if they didn’t get out right then they wouldn’t be allowed back in at all. My niece froze and looked at her funny because of the way she approached her. The lady continued to threaten the children… she should’ve said something to the adults standing there. I told my niece that we had told her wrong, & reached for my niece to get out, so she would stop rambling at my six year old niece. Just seconds later our group was coming into the corn pit area where the kids had to be instructed, unbeknownst to us. The lady continued with her poor attitude speaking to the children, which kids pick up on and don’t respond well to. A few minutes later, my sister was picking up the stretchy wrist bands off the ground as we left the corn pit and the same woman said “you know we have a different color for those everyday right?” As if we would’ve tried to use them again for free entry. My sister was simply cleaning up behind the kids and thought my niece would like one of the bracelets with the places name on it. Quite absurd, maybe she had a bad day. I know the field trips have got to be a handful for the staff members, but they could definitely pretend to be a little happier...
Read moreUs and our 2 grandchildren came this past Saturday instead of going to Burt’s Pumpkin Patch in North Ga. Was really surprised at the $14 admission for everyone over 1 year old . This is supposed to be a time of year for the kids getting ready for Halloween. We paid the money and went in and pretty soon realized it wasn’t really that great. I was looking at the amount of people older than 1 year old and figured out , there are a lot of people enjoying family time at a venue that was overpriced to say the least. Food and crafts were overpriced also. I checked my bank account, as I do on a regular basis and saw where the amount I thought I paid was a different amount. I called and asked if they changed a surcharge on a debit card. The lady was too busy talking and conducting business that I held for a while and then hung up. She called me back with time to talk. I asked her if it was disclosed about the surcharge and she said it should be. I said no it wasn’t and she refunded my surcharge. It amounted to about 4% per person so that is a hidden fee on top of an inflated $14 admission that I figure very few people check. Needless to say this is our last trip to Bennett...
