My now husband and I met in grad school at Ole Miss so it was very important to us to get married in Oxford. Since we are from Pittsburgh and would be planning from a distance, we wanted to keep the planning as simple and fun as possible.
Our original plan was just to get married in the Grove...this was until we saw The Jefferson. We did not even bother to look at any other wedding venue! The beauty and thoughtfulness that went into the structure and authenticity of the venue is equally matched and exceeded by the team at the Jefferson. They are without a doubt our family now. Their support they offered us as we planned a totally DIY wedding from a distance during a pandemic made the experience so seamless. Not to mention, they made sure our pup was included along the way!
In addition, they knew our wedding was planned around football. When the Ole Miss schedule was getting switched around and tailgating in the Grove was prohibited, Margie, Kelly, and Amanda worked endlessly to give us an option to host a tailgate at The Jefferson. This allowed us to still give our friends and family the full Oxford experience.
There are no words to describe how much we adore and appreciate the team at The Jefferson. If you're looking for a venue and a team that will work to make sure your vision for the first day of your marriage comes true and keep you focused on the positive, look no further. We are...
Read moreUnprofessional business!!! My fiancee and I scheduled a tour at the Jefferson Oxford over 2 weeks in advance. The morning of our tour, I texted the venue manager Lisa to see if we were still on for the tour. Hours passed and she never responded so I had to call to make sure that we could still come for the tour. She replied yes. My fiancee and I live in Memphis so we had to drive an hour and a half to get to the venue. We left a little early to make sure we would be on time for our appointment. An hour before our tour was supposed to start, the assistant venue manager Marti called and told me that our tour had to be cancelled because Lisa had a family emergency and that she could reschedule a tour the following day. By that time, we were already in Oxford so I explained to her that we drove all the way from Memphis and we could not reschedule the tour to the following day. Her reply was that she would leave the door open for us since the catering crew was still in the building. But why couldn't she give us a tour of the venue herself if she is the assistant venue manager?! Almost a week later and no one from the venue has even attempted to reach back out to me. I'm extremely disappointed because I absolutely loved the venue. Absolutely stunning! However, the lack of professionalism is something I'm not willing to put up with and they just lost a...
Read moreMy husband and I tied the knot on a beautiful October day, and I could not have imagined a more perfect venue than The Jefferson. From our first meeting over a year and half out from the big day, Amanda and Kelly were communicative and accommodating, always making sure that we were on schedule and working hard to ensure that our wedding day would be exactly as we imagined it. The Jefferson itself is beautiful -- we used the entire space for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Our guests still talk about how stunning each room was! It also has ample room for both the bride and groom to dress. One of my favorite parts of The Jefferson is their new guest house. My entire family stayed in the house for the whole wedding weekend, and those are some of my favorite memories. The house was clean, roomy with a gorgeous wrap around porch, and very comfortable. I can't end this review without giving a special shoutout to Amanda and the bartenders for creating a craft cocktail menu that was the star of the reception. I would give The Jefferson more than 5 stars if I could. The staff is top notch, and the location could not be more beautiful. On behalf of my husband and myself, thank you to The Jefferson for helping us create the wedding of...
