I am writing this as the mother of the groom. Our wedding was this past Saturday. Melissa and her entire crew were extremely helpful from start to finish. We booked the venue less than a year before the event date, as we got lucky and there had just been a cancelation. The venue is incredibly beautiful! The outdoor ampitheater is stunning and is very cool and shaded. Who wants to sit in the hot swealtering sun? There is a creek running behind it, and the peaceful sounds of it with the birdsong made for a magical ceremony! It is so very green and gorgeous in the summer, but I can imagine later in the fall is breathtaking too.
We booked the lodge for the reception. The lodge is absolutely gorgeous. All pine woodwork with a large stone fireplace, the outside patios with firepits and lighting, and the slightly separated catering and bartending areas were my favorite features! The front veranda is a perfect place for spill over or to cool down from the dance floor!
The staff will bend over backward to meet your needs. Melissa is an excellent coordinator and she seems to be going in a 100 directions all at once, but she never drops the ball! The staff was always close by if an issue arose (although we had very few) but they were also not underfoot.
We used their catering services. I will say I am often not a fan of "wedding" food but this meal was delicious. I have a gluten allergy and the chef offered to keep food separated and direct me to the safe foods. The food was kept fresh, warm, and stocked and there was MORE than enough! We even had a s'mores buffet for late evening snacks.
My favorite part of this venue, however, is the all-in-one services it offers. There are multiple houses for rent for any out of town guests that saves them having to find hotels. And the best part is the quaint bridal/honeymoon suite on the lake. The day of the event, it serves as the bride's headquarters with room for hair and makeup artists to set up, a full kitchen, bed and bath, and living room. The screened in porch is perfect for a relaxing mimosa! After the event, a staff member will drive the bride and groom back to this cottage to spend the night. I love the peace of mind knowing the couple can have alcoholic beverages and not worry about transportation to an off site hotel!
I would recommend Timeless Charm Weddings to anyone and have zero hesitation that they will be treated as wonderfully...
Read moreTimeless Charm is an absolutely beautiful venue but I would highly suggest looking to have your wedding elsewhere. The lady who runs the venue was always polite and accommodating for me, however, her staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. During our final meeting, we went over a seating chart and the way we wanted the tables to be set up. Upon arrival the morning of our event, all of our tables were placed incorrectly and I, myself, had to go through and rearrange every table and every chair which put a huge dent in my time. While using Timeless Charm, you are required to use their food catering services unless you want to pay an outrageous fee. The food was awful and extremely way overpriced. All of our guests complained of their food being cold and not good. We ran out of appetizers and ran out of food when we had less guests than expected, some of our guests didn’t even get to eat. The rental agreement was from 11am-12am, during dinner, the staff came up to us as well as other guests who had used the getting ready suites earlier and told them they needed to go clean up their belongings. There was no reason as to why myself and our guests should have been interrupted while eating to stop and go collect our/their items, especially when we were told everything had to be cleaned up by midnight, this was around 6pm. We also rented the golf cart and were told it would be used a completely different way, however, many of our elderly guests were not transported like we were told they would be with the golf cart. Prior to the wedding, we were told we could use the larger parking lot since there was not another event that day. The morning of we parked in the lot we were told to use and got yelled at and were told to move our vehicles and then later in the day we were told that we could use the larger lot then. Something else that really bothered me is that while paying for our alcohol we were charged with gratuity but yet the bartender still had out a tip jar. I understand this may be common- I just feel that it’s unprofessional. Our whole day was extremely chaotic and the staff was of no help directing people in where they needed to go. This venue was beautiful, unfortunately I wish I would’ve went a different route especially with the amount of...
Read moreThe venue was beautiful. There’s no question about that. The guests probably felt like they were attending a beautiful and perfect wedding. I only wish the bride and groom felt that way. Behind the scenes was far from perfect. The person in charge was an extremely rude person and should be kept away from everyone. It was cold and rainy and that was nothing compared to the way she treated people. If you decide to use this place, hire a planner and keep this woman in her office and away from everyone. Get it in writing that she won’t interfere, although that probably won’t stop her as she is one of those people who know everything and her way is the only way to do it right. The other negative point would be the quarters given to the grooms party. We walked into this tiny little room that had drywall crumbs on the floor and a removed light switch on the table. The only reason I bring that up is because this woman decided to approach the grooms mother during the reception while dancing with 2 children and attack her on the condition of the grooms quarters saying it was destroyed and if it isn’t cleaned right now, they are gonna charge an additional $500 cleaning fee. This little room had no closets so the groom and groomsmen had to change into tuxes and leave their clothes wherever they could. So 10 men’s clothes were placed wherever they could put them and the trash can was full. There was an unopened case of beer on the floor and a couple bottles on the counter. Apparently we were supposed to change into tuxes then walk to the vehicles in the muddy parking lot with out clothes. First time I’ve ever experienced anything like that. Usually the wedding party can go back to the room and change back, at least in every wedding I’ve been a part of. So my wife and I went to the destroyed room and it took about 5 minutes pick up everyone’s clothes and take the trash out. What a joke. My son, the groom, and my new daughter in law worked very hard for this place. A lot of money was given to this place to have the wedding of their dreams. Unfortunately for them, the most memorable part is the treatment they received from this person who runs this place. Very...
