A breathtaking (both in the view and the elevation gain) hike that can connect you to multiple trailheads throughout Pacifica and even into San Bruno. I have loved a lot of the bike rides, hikes and runs on these trails. however, I have also disliked many of the wrong moments of being stuck on the trail after dark or when sudden winds/rain happen. Make sure to plan ahead if you are going for a long trek on these trails. There is little to no tree cover, with a few exceptions coming from San Bruno near the Missile Site, and a large section of the Montara mountain intersection coming out of San Pedro Park so expect to wear sunscreen, even if it is overcast. Extremely steep downhills on the cut offs towards Sharp Park and the Orchid Farm, not for those who are weak in the knees. (Easiest low effort high views payoff is from Skyline College's Science Building, formerly the Vista point.)
Please keep the trail free of litter, there was a former missile site that had beautiful graffiti and some structural issues, which came to be a dumping ground for hikers to throw alcohol and create fires. Unfortunately this was torn down, but one structure still remains on the trail!
Good luck and...

The first portion of this well maintained trail is a bit strenuous until you get to the top of the first hill, at which point the trail begins rolling from incline to decline. The view from the start is great but once you get up near the top the view will leave you in awe. This is a popular mountain biking trail as well, so make sure you keep an eye out for our friends with wheels. Enjoy...
