Fossil Creek Winery — Attraction in Painesville

We were excited to try this winery. Left so disappointed. We tried a glass of wine that tasted flat..even our server thought it " was a little off" . It was the bottom of the bottle. So we tried another type and we liked it so we asked to switch. I guess one lady was the owner and took a glass over to a gentleman at the table next to us and they were whispering and looking at us. I asked our server if we did something wrong..did I owe for the sample or something. She said no just for the 2nd glass( we paid for the 1st but didn't drink). The owner said they determined nothing to be wrong with the wine so we needed to pay for both. I guess being " right" means more than good customer relations. Won't be back...go to any other winery. Better service!!...

We stopped in for some wine on their scenic outdoor patio.

I had a glad of their dry red wine from Silver Crest. My wife enjoyed a maple caramel martini.

Since it was dinner time, we enjoyed their BBQ chicken pizza. Everything was fresh and tasty!

The outdoor scenery rivals any winery in the area. It is far from the main road so it is private and serene.
