Garretson Food Center — Attraction in Palisade Township

First, I understand the importance of supporting local family owned businesses. We shop here periodically, my mother more frequently, she likes to shop sales/deals. The amount of times shes had items not ring up correctly, overcharging, having to drive 20 miles for a refund is crazy. It happens to me everytime as well, I constantly have to look at the screen and it's a pain having to tell the cashier when something is ringing up wrong. Most of the time I just let it go, I shouldn't. If this happens to us it happens to others as well and that's not ethical. Also the meat display needs to be cleaned, visible dried coagulated blood is unacceptable. I've gotten 2 packages of spoiled, I don't buy it anymore. I really hope these issues can be improved upon so we can continue to support this business...

In Garretson this is your only grocery store. They carry food that comes right from the farm. It's a small 3 aisle store that carries the basics for making any meal. The service is very polite. Parking is on the street and this store is on Main street, downtown. It's more like a convenience...
