City of Palm Desert Ironwood Park — Attraction in Palm Desert

My favorite little park.

It has the usual playground equipment with some extra spinning things for torturing any parents dumb enough to allow their children to push them. The playground equipment is shaded, which is great all year around but essential in the summer.

There are also two grassy areas, one relatively flat for playing soccer and one on a slope for playing catch or rolling down.

There is a paved circular path that is great for kids learning to ride a bike.

And there is a wilderness area for the slightly older kids to go running and...

We chose Ironwood Park, in Beautiful Palm Desert..to have a Birthday Party for my Granddaughters 1st bday. We wanted a small park with all the perks that a larger park usually offers..but without all the crowds..We had a great time. And she had her very 1st experience on a swing and the slide..she smiled the whole time. I definitely would recommend Ironwood Park for small group Celebrations and Bbq s....there are plenty of covered cabanas with tables and benches..and you dont have to make a reservation . A must...

Very clean and comfortable. Large area for children to play, with swings,slides and other useful and fun equipment for children. Green area well maintained, with maintenance crews seen very often emptying garbage cans washing down covered rest areas . Concrete walks around park very clean and safe for he young and elderly dog walkers. Supplies of doggie bags in a number of areas within the green areas and in the desert natural walks. Clean rest rooms and lots of parking. Lots of picnics and birthday parties...
