I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Palm Springs Aerospace Museum and I cannot say enough good things about my experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who were eager to share their love for aviation.

The museum itself is a treasure trove of aviation history, with an impressive collection of aircraft and exhibits that span the centuries. From the Wright Brothers' first flight to the cutting-edge technology of modern jets, every era of aviation is beautifully represented here.

One of the highlights of my visit was the chance to step inside some of the aircraft and experience what it must feel like to be a pilot. Being able to sit in the cockpit of a fully restored vintage plane was a dream come true for any aviation enthusiast.

The museum also offers a variety of interactive displays and simulators that allow visitors to get a hands-on experience of what it's like to fly. From flight simulators to virtual reality experiences, there was something for everyone, regardless of age or level of interest.

The staff at the museum are clearly passionate about their work and their dedication shows. They were more than happy to answer any questions I had and took the time to explain the history and significance of each aircraft. Their enthusiasm was infectious and made my visit even more enjoyable.

Another aspect that impressed me was the attention to detail in the museum's exhibits. The aircraft were meticulously restored and displayed in a way that allowed visitors to fully appreciate their beauty and historical significance. The museum also had a great selection of information boards and signage that provided context and a deeper understanding of the exhibits.

In addition to the impressive collection of aircraft, the museum also featured rotating exhibits and special events. This meant that even if you have visited before, there is always something new and exciting to discover.

Overall, my visit to the Palm Springs Aerospace Museum was an incredible experience. The combination of friendly staff, stunning exhibits, and interactive displays made for a truly memorable day. Whether you're a die-hard aviation enthusiast or simply curious about the world of flight, this museum is a must-visit. I highly recommend it and can confidently give it a...

Recently, I had the opportunity to visit the Palm Springs Aviation Museum after a special event, which added a unique twist to my experience. the planes were displayed outside due to the event, it provided an immersive atmosphere that enhanced my appreciation for aviation history.

The F-117 stealth bomber exhibit is defiantly the highlight of the collection. Housed in its on exhibit, with air conditioning which is a big plus, you can walk round and learn about and see this masterpiece of engineering.

Walt Disneys personal G1 is also on display and is a one of a kind quirky little addition to the collection.

Situated in the heart of Palm Springs, the museum is easily accessible and surrounded by the picturesque desert landscape. The warm, sunny weather typical of the region made it a great day to be outside the hangers, although it did get quite hot with all the planes outside. Be sure to bring plenty of water and wear sunscreen, especially if you’re planning to spend a lot of time exploring the exhibits.

The museum boasts a diverse collection of aircraft, ranging from vintage military planes to modern jets. During my visit, I was particularly impressed by the meticulous restoration of several World War II aircraft. It was fascinating to see these historical machines up close and learn about their significance during the war. The outdoor setting allowed for a more expansive view of the planes, and it felt special to walk around and appreciate their size and intricacies in the outdoors.

Overall, my visit to the Palm Springs Aviation Museum was enjoyable, despite the heat. The variety of aircraft on display was impressive. The educational opportunities provided by the staff were invaluable, making it a worthwhile experience for aviation lovers and casual visitors alike. Just remember to stay hydrated and wear a hat if you're visiting during the...

Love this place! My family and I make a point of coming here every visit to the Palm Springs area. The many well-preserved and restored aircraft from WWII and after are rivaled only by the enthusiasm and knowledgeability of the staff (I’m looking at you, Jim Driscoll!) who go out of their way to make sure that we get the most out of our visit. There are so many interesting backstories to the individual aircraft and their acquisition and restoration and the docents offer them freely. Many have a personal connection to aviation whether it be military service, family history or career and some are just big fans! Favorites we always check out are the B-17, P-51, P-47, and my son’s favorite, the F4U Corsair. We always check out the F-117 in its own hangar, such a singular experience! Every hangar has multiple exhibits showing the designs of the aircraft or their engines or how they were developed and designed and/or deployed and utilized in their theaters. There are also numerous short films at different spots throughout the museum with great stories about pilots, dogfights, tactics and more as well as a couple of screening rooms. It’s hard to put into a short review just how comprehensive this facility and what a treasure it is. We’ve been to both national air and space museums in DC and while this doesn’t have the wide variety of aircraft or the BIG ticket items like a space shuttle (pro tip- just go to LA) it stands shoulder-to-shoulder for its ability to hold interest, educate and instill an appreciation for the people who designed, built and flew these aircraft. Now I’m just waiting for them to acquire my personal favorite plane, the P-38- c’mon guys, throw me a bone!

PS- Don’t miss out on all the flight...
