I would normally never rate a camp site this low, but it was not great. All the sites were very close together, no real privacy, and noisy from all the people nearby. The lady in charge was nice, but quite overbearing. She asked us a lot of questions and came by a couple times while we were just chilling by the fire to talk to us, even though we'd already checked in. She did stop some guy from chainsawing up a bunch of wood, which was cool, he was being super disruptive. My biggest issue with this camp ground is that it's directly under a flight path for small planes. Every ten minutes at least, we had another plane fly overhead. They stopped at around 10 pm and started back up bright and early! The trails were nice, as well as the sports fields and terrain park they connected to, but not super extensive. The shower was awful, drain was clogged and it flooded the little camp bathroom. Was nice to have one though. Not terrible, but I'd go somewhere else if possible. Not my...
Read moreLarge day use park(would even be nice for a party) and campground for RV w/hookup and many spots for tenting. Also has a place to shower that you'll need quarters for. A few trails to walk through, very beautiful walk, and you can go down to the river. Recommend taking a camera. It's across the street from a small airfield, but during my two day stay there I only heard a plane twice, so not a busy airfield. The camp host is a gentleman, happy to chat with anyone who stops by. He has a lot of Rhubarb growing in front so he picks it when it's ready and offers it to the guests. The grounds are kept beautifully. Super close to downtown; it took me less than five minutes to drive to Fred Meyers. Both RV and tenting spots are far enough away from the main road that you can't hear the...
Read moreWish I could rate with a 2.5 star, because it wasn’t entirely a bad experience. Nice campground conveniently in Palmer. The road into and around the campground is narrow so be mindful of other vehicles. Some of the tent sites were quite small with the RV spots being stacked like sardines. Airport right across the street so be prepared to be woken up at 6/7 in the morning with airplanes taking off or landing till about 10/11 at night. Saw some pretty cool planes flying overhead. Main bathroom is only open from 8 am to 10 pm. Kept pretty clean with only one shower available. Other than that you will have to locate the other bathroom facility in the campground unless you have an RV. Nice place to stay and the kids enjoyed the playground access but likely will not reserve a site...
