Our family loves this park! It's a bit far from us, but we make the drive anyways! It's perfect for working out, playing in the playground, riding bike and even playing a little baseball game. We usually like to take picnic food and spend half a day with the kids and their friends. I love that they have volleyball courts, tennis courts, baseball fields, a canal so you occasionally will see small boats pass by and they even have Farmers Market on Sundays. On the weekends it can get pretty full (especially the playground). The only thing I would be careful with is the spinning wheel they have in the playground. Sometimes the big kids like to push it and the smaller kids can fall off or get run over by others....just keep a close eye!
They do have designated picnic areas with BBQ's which is a plus if you like to cook out, but they are pretty far away from the actual park itself. The only tedious thing are the ducks...but that's because they have become accustomed to people feeding them (even though it says not to all over the park!).
Overall, we love the crowd, the cleanliness, and the activities you can do. One of the best...
Read moreIt's a beautiful park, but these small little local villages, like the village of Pinecrest and the village of Cutler Bay and where this park is located (the village of Palmetto Bay)... they come up with some strange statues and ordinances, that are somewhat restrictive.
Being pretty much raised up in Miami, I have been here since 1978, and I gotta say that I truly miss unincorporated Metropolitan Dade county.
By the grace of Yeshua Ha'Mashiach, I own an electrical scooter. Sadly, when I went to this park (because I read online that they have a wonderful little bike trail that winds itself throughout the park and goes over a bridge, and is very scenic and picturesque), I was extremely disappointed that they do not allow electrical scooters or e-bikes. That's just ridiculous. Because now you're forcing e-bikes and e-scooters on your roadways and sidewalks.
Heads up Village of Palmetto Bay 👋 that is called discrimination, and one day, you may be challenged by it in a court of law and lose.
The signs are everywhere, and it just gives you the sour taste in your mouth. Makes you feel unwelcome. So I will never come back...
Read moreThis park has quickly become my favorite park to go to all pros no cons.
It's big! There's alot to do from tee ball, baseball, soccer feild, big kiddie area with lots of slides and swings, picnic areas as well as a big trail around the property for cycling.
The kiddy area is the reason I came here in the first place... lots for the kiddies to do and the whole area is under shade so kids don't get heat exhaustion lol. They even have a little area for babies as well under shade. It great 5 stars.
There's a small little river that cuts around the property where there is literally a community of ducks and birds.. it beautiful. Its the other main reason I come here. You can sit and feed the duckies and other birds! ( please don't feed them bread, chips, and stuff like that, that clogs up thier insides, better feed them things like canned veggies, peas, carrots, etc)
A working consessions stand. They have burgers, tenders & fries and most importantly frozen lemonade lol.
Just go!!! Get Active!!! Feed...
