The Feedstore Antique and Collectibles Mall — Attraction in Palmetto

This place is awesome, there's a LOT of cool stuff here. Collectibles if you're into old action figures and games, antiques, artwork, etc. Lots of variety, and just so much to look at.

I docked a star for two things, and both of them are probably not the same person's fault.

They need to get their AC situation sorted. I was sweating like crazy the entire time I was in there. Being outside in the 90-degree Florida sun was more comfortable because at least the air had somewhere to go. On this point, though, they had a cooler out front with complimentary bottles of water for their patrons. I probably should have just grabbed one on the way in, but that's a great gesture.

The prices on some items inside were pretty heavily inflated. I would have made a lot more impulsive purchases here if I didn't know their reseller market value. But this doesn't apply to everything! There were a lot of cool finds here that were reasonably priced.

This was easily the best antique mall I've visited. If you're into this sort of thing, young, old, in the middle, there is more than likely something...

Kind of a neat building was an old time feed store in it's day. Not a real big antique place but enough to look at. I was moving thru faster than normal due to the fact that the majority of the space is NOT air conditioned! There was a dealer booth that had a thermometer for sale and the temp registered 86 degrees. That's brutal when you are trying to look at treasurers and antiques for sale. While I was a little uncomfortable I did manage to get thru the place but I will probably come back in the so-called Florida winter when strolling thru will be more pleasurable. Great stuff just wish they had more antique furniture items...hardly had any. I would have liked to seen more items for collectors as well. I know there are so many items people collect and it is hard to generalize any specific items but there was so much jewelry and comic books and not enough of what people actually look for like collector plates, army memorbial, Victorian items, swords, knives, even collectable stuffed animals or figurines. The prices were also what you would see on eBay... No deals in that store, so forget it if you were looking for a treasure at low cost. People there know what they got and know what...
