This morning I went to the Whitmore lavender farm and did a private wreath making lesson by myself for my birthday. I had so much fun! I got to harvest my own lavender and the owner showed me how to put together the entire wreath from scratch after I picked which design I wanted. She was so sweet and wouldn't let me make a skimpy wreath. She insisted it needed to be full and BIG and allowed me to take my time. Since it was a private lesson she allowed me to sit at a table in the shade without my mask on and if she needed to come help with anything she had hers on. Since it is all outdoors it is by appointment only to go but totally worth it. The tours are short and sweet and she allows you to harvest lavender, even if you are not wanting to buy any. I ended up buying a couple extra bundles, lavender honey, and a toner for my face. They offer several private classes and also rent out certain areas of their farm for you to have a picnic or dinner! Prices were so affordable. I can't wait to go back for a date afternoon or for a girls day! If you haven't been yet, GO MAKE AN...
Read moreThe farm was amazing! We took our two year old there and picked lavender, saw the bee hive boxes, vineyards, blackberries growing all around the farm. They had a huge bull frog in a pond and wow, did it have plenty to say! My daughter didnât want to leave the lavender farm, she asked âdo we have a farm at home?â and with the answer being no I had to bribe her to want to go home. Both of the owners (married couple) were both VERY welcoming and knowledgeable about their products. We cut some lavender and bought some honey, hand sanitizer, oils and next time I want to try to buy the soap! It was a hard decision on what to buy but best of all, they put zero pressure on you to buy anything! The farm is beautiful, the owners are friendly and welcoming and it is well worth visiting! We will...
Read moreThis place is just, lovely and so peaceful. Even though the day was hot, I barely noticed. I learned how to clone and how to make my bouquet, with a sickle no less! She asks pertinent questions about your soil and sun situation for the success of your clones that you take back home with you. I learned how to successfully grow lavender. The boutique is refreshing and cool because of all the lavender hanging everywhere. I didn't even realize there were so many species. Everything is done by hand on this farm and powered by bees, who were just as welcoming and let us pick their lavender without a fuss. Sam, Chen (I probably spelled that wrong) and Ari were so kind and their farm is wonderful and I hope to come...
