Update: After speaking to the owner I can truly say it has changed my perspective of how they do business. You can tell that Josh genuinely cares about his customers and he wants people to have the greatest experience. I appreciate you for taking time to hear my complaint and take action to correct any mistakes. If you have any questions or concerns I would recommend you bring them to Josh's attention!
Initial review:This place advertised an event that we were excited to attend. After arriving the advertisement that drew us in was not happening. When we asked about the event that we drove an hour hoping to experience I attempted to have a conversation with the manager. Abby was more than rude. Abby got an attitude was dismissive of the complaint and walked away in the middle of a conversation I'm thinking maybe she is checking to see if someone was not doing their job and she would return to finish the conversation. While we were waiting the cashier being paranoid yells at the child we brought asking her if she was recording and I had to explain no she can't see so that is unfortunately how she holds her phone. Abby walks back with a customer unprofessionally complaining about our conversation which isn't necessary since I was standing right there and she could have addressed me directly. Who solicits opinions from customers? I see where the idiocy is go so then I tell someone to record the interaction. Abby continues with her sarcastic remarks and attempts to get the police to arrest us after she was flustered and escalated the situation. The staff are unprofessional and lied about our interaction after we definitely had it recorded. The police comes in threatening to arrest us before even hearing our side, but once we were outside the police want to be calm after hearing how ignorant the staff were being. It's sad that this establishment couldn't handle a complaint civilly without the use of intimidating by the police. I will never go here again! And if the owner is open I am still willing to have a...
Read moreWe drove an hour just to get there. My aunt, my 5 children, 2 bonus daughters, 2 granddaughters and myself. Excited to spend the day!! It was much larger than we expected, many things to do to, activities, merchandise, food trucks, and clean. We literally spent the entire day making memories and having a great time, on a very beautiful October day. My reason for the 2 star rating.....the staff. With as much as we spent throughout the property, on activities, food, drinks, snacks, and throughout the general store, you would expect the staff to be pretty nice and helpful. Don't get me wrong, there were a few that were INCREDIBLE!! My cashier for instance, she was so kind, apologizing for the way my daughter in law was treated by another cashier, trying to help me find her order, etc. And the young girl at the exit of the activity part, she was super sweet. But I can't even tell you how many of the staff members were rude to me, my aunt, my daughter in law, my kids in general, mainly for asking a question, or asking for assistance. It blows me away that a place like that would leave you with a knit in your stomach as you travel the hour back home. When we decided to take this journey, to a pumpkin patch and cider mill, we had to put a lot of planning into it so that everyone's schedule would work. The fact that we traveled and hour, one way, spent well over $300 while there, cleaned up not only after ourselves but others, all to be treated so poorly....mainly up at the general store area, makes me want to tell people to fine somewhere else to make memories with their families. I hope in my heart that it was just a bad day for staff at the cider mill pumpkin patch and that others don't have to experience what we did...
Read moreThis place is special. I feel like I'm stepping back to my childhood. It was chilly, a bit brisk, and perfect weather to get some apple cider and warm doughnuts.
When you first approach Louisburg Cider Mill you realize what an amazing place this really is. Old school buildings and it just feels right to be here, like you are part of a community, part of what things used to be like.
The people that work here and shop here are amazing! Friendly, kind, funny and just good people.
The products are on another level. I was lucky enough to get a cup of Honey Crisp apple cider and ... they had just brought out doughnuts. A really nice woman approached me and said I had to try them. The person behind the counter hooked me up and gave me two warm doughnuts, which were possibly the best doughnuts I have ever had. The Honey Crisp apple cider was also amazing.
I did pick up some traditional apple cider and it was, without question, the best apple cider I've had since I was a kid ... when we would go to Geiser's Farm in the fall and they would make it right there, no pasteurization, just clean fresh apple cider. Louisburg Cider Mill brought me back to that time ... there cider is really that good.
In closing, I just want to say thank you to everyone that was there. There were random strangers that said "hi", someone giving me the secret of getting the warm doughnuts, the people that work there that are amazing and truly...
