I avoid to talk or give bad feedback unless I feel it is necessary and believe that doing so will help both the business to improve and the potential visitor or customers to both voice the opinion , be aware, and with time give them both the benefit of the doubt and a second opportunity to go back and see if indeed changes have taken place for the best. That said, here it goes. Bed and amenities great, desk service great. Rest...be aware this place charges $15 dollars for a parking spot for no reason whatsoever. The slots are wearer down, paint is not the best, it is not evenly paved, it has not cover of any kind it is just a regular parking lot as good as the one in the street. They do not tell you this anywhere online so...surprise you find it at the customer desk! The place has a indeed an eating place, however, if you believe breakfast is included, like some of us did, cause the price and info online made us think that way, the reality is that is not included and you will be reminded of it by the many notesof paper posted at the entrance of the eating place and other areas. Beds were comfortable, bedroom clean, etc. Shower was beyond discounting, no hot water for us no matter what we tried - please I have travel enough to learn to leave the water running on the hot side, and try all the other tips...after 45 minutes and being in a hurry for an event...we gave up on it. So...Sadly, first place I jave to say I did not enjoy. There is no a real value for this experience, except the 4 hours of sleep. Much better deals close by. Even the Denver International Airport as bad as it may be give you something in return when parking there overnight. Read carefully and print the amenities and so forth. We arrived at very late due to semi that rolled over and we were exhausted. If it had been a different situation we would have left just knowing that they carge $15.00 to basically park in the street. What will be next, packed for pressing the button at...
Read moreI stayed here with my family and it was just an ok place. Plenty of parking but they do charge $14 which I feel should have been stated before booking because on our end it said free parking through Expedia. Then it also said free breakfast but got there and they charge $15 for that. Either they need to update their 3rd party sites or they should change these fees to match. We always look for good hotels with free breakfast, free parking & clean hotels, so not sure how we missed that. We were greeted at the desk by a really nice lady who seemed to be training a new kid and yikes! Don’t get me wrong he was very nice but came across unprofessional & inappropriate with conversations with the guests. Seemed like it was his first job, he’s young, a bit immature, talked a lot and tried to make conversation, as a good front desk employee should but not the right conversations he was saying haha. Also, I don’t understand the whole leave the towel in the pool area because now I have to walk wet and cold back to my room. We also didn’t appreciate that there were barking dogs, the pillows are couch pillow size so not full standard ones, never seen that before. And someone also tried to get into our room probably at the wrong room but it scared the crap out of us during the late night hours. But I will say the view was very amazing of the river etc., the staff was friendly, the place is a bit run down in the rooms but that seems to be the new normal these days at most hotels, nothing is perfect or cleaned fully anymore. It’s a lot of money for a one night stay plus charging parking & breakfast. The spa was cozy but the photos of this place make everything look more interesting than they really are. In the end would I stay here again, possibly. It wasn’t a terrible experience but we like to have our peace and quiet when traveling, that why you go on vacation, to get away from home...
Read moreThis is not a luxury hotel, but a really nice reasonably priced hotel for overnight and I am giving it 5 stars for what it is This is a super convenient hotel for stopping while driving across country.
While they could and should make the parking fee more clear in all listings, it’s still less than surrounding hotels and has a nice indoor pool with hot tub that others didn’t.
Couldn’t beat it for Tesla drivers since we could plug in and walk back to the hotel to relax in the hot tub while charging.
No free breakfast but there’s a really nice small Coffee Shack diagonal across the street that has great espresso and other food options. We chose that instead of paying for breakfast at the hotel. Free breakfast was not advertised so I will not lower the review based on that.
I didn’t get any attitude from the clerks, but there were clearly thankful that I had read reviews ands was expecting the parking fee. With that out of the way they were friendly and laughed at my lame jokes. I honestly believe if the fee was included in rates, their reviews would be much higher and the check in job would be much more pleasant because patrons would be more focused on the pleasant atmosphere and nicely updated rooms. This would positively impact their reviews.
Oh, an earlier review mentioned tiny pillows. They squish standard pillows into a square for presentation. Not sure why, but when I tried to use one I noticed it and simply unfolded the pillowcase and fluffed the pillow back out to normal size. That worked great.
Overall, we had a great night and were thankful...
